Sorry me to be so silly but - does Ketron SD1000 real Live Loops or not? If "Yes" - how to get them? Or maybe the ins-file "KetronSD1000xSonar_With Life Drums.ins" is a big fake? Why they give two folders with some drum notes - I mean the folder "Audio Drum Loop" and "SD 1000 groove library"?? What is the real mean of them?

Hello! One more question about SD1000...
I can not understand how to get audio drum-loops sounds. If I load for example file from the Audio Drum Loop folder - for example BACHATA_A.mid into CakeWalk - CakeWalk place it to the 9th MIDI channel as Afro1 patch with bank SD1000 Live Drums1 https://cloud.mail.ru/public/RYD3/sXUkW5V6a
Why exactly the Afro1? And.. I can not have any sound from bank SD1000 Live Drums2 !! Why??

You can seve all settings of Korg Nano using software on the comp and then do what you want to do!

Forget for a moment about vArranger. That software is only autoarranger. The main thing you need to operate is - your sound module (software or hardware). So - the only thing you need is to open the MIDI implamentation chart of your Sound Module and get information from that chart what controllers does "understand" your Sound module. Nice thing if your sound module has INS file (take a look on CakeWalk site). It will be very easy to operate it using free software "Selector"  https://www.kvraudio.com/product/selector-by-vague-software. It can work in parallel with vArranger and operate all controllers you need!! Also you can use ANY midi keyboard you like! The main things to operate vARranger you can do using simple computer keyboard!!

Very interesting - is it possible to use those 8 Sounds with integrated EFX processing without any fear of any surprize? Each of the sound has it's own DSP settings? And no need to turn device OFF? All 8 paches sounds right? How it coiuld be so?
By the way, as I noticed looking on vArranger v.1.19.01 there is the bug in the Effects window of SD1000 in the System Chorus block. The knob "Feedback" in any position sends the same SYSEX - F0 41 00 42 12 40 01 3B 40 00 F7
Hope other vArranger users know about that and Dan solved this small bug in subsequent versions...

vArranger is not my chice of softwae I prefer to make MIDI files by myself with recording track by track and then play with MIDI keyboard over my MIDI files.
I am thinking about SD1000 as about rather small box with rather good sounds.

1. As I can see - there is no exact information - what factory sounds in SD1000 included EFX. So - does it means that if I will change the factory sound it will bring me the unpredictable result? Maybe the preset factory sounds don't use DSPs and I will not need to turn the power off after I changed another preset sound?
At all - if I will not make any settings in DSPs - I will have no problems with changing sounds?

2. The small and free software I mentioned is very userful because SD1000 has no display and operating buttons, but using this software ("Selector"  https://www.kvraudio.com/product/selector-by-vague-software) it is possible to operate it without VA2.

3. I am going to create the panel Studioware to operate SD1000 in CakeWalk (I prefer CakeWalk 9.03 for MIDI recordings and editings). When I will finish it - I share on that forum. The main feature of Studioware - it can insert all settings of every DSP directly to MIDI file and save them with MIDI file, and much more - not only as a snapshorts but also changings of any parametre in real-time.
By the way - once I created several Studiowares for my Yamaha PSR 740 and shared them. You can take them from this URL http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/more_software.htm
The only bad thing - I can not find in the User Manual for SD1000's DSP the DEFAULT values of the each parametres of the each DSPs. To say - sending MIDI data with the help of playing small MIDI file is also the way to make a kind of reset for all parametres if you will record the default parametres in MIDI file.
Maybe I am wrong and you can show me the point in Manual with such information...
Imagine - you open Studioware, click "Snapshot" and it sends all Default values to both DSPs into any MIDI track and also into SD1000 - it is the kind of Reset. Then you can make any changings for DSPs and record them....

4. DC\DC converter is also rather userful thing because it allows to use ANY music-device (wich need 9 or 12 volt for powering) without using batteries and power socket. Now days the power-bank for mobile-phone is very common thing.

No one SD1000 user here??

Now I have a question for myself - do I really want to buy SD1000. Reading messages of that Forum I can see that SD1000 is not a simple toy especially in the matter of turning it's DSPs. The user manual for SD1000 is rather difficult for understanding. Thanks to Dan he made the Effect Panel for SD1000. I could send MIDI messages to CakeWalk from vArranger and record them in CakeWalk usin virtual MIDI cable. So - I can compare the recorded matherial with User Manual for SD1000 for understanding what NRPNs and SYSEX SD1000 needs to operate with it's DSPs.
Analyzing the MIDI data recorded in CakeWalk I can try to make the special panel - CakeWalk Studioware in order to operate DSPs in SD1000 directrly using CakeWalk.
Now - my questions.
1. On that Forum I read messages that SD1000 "remember" all settings and can not reset them to default values. Is that true? Does SD1000 understand any Reset command for the settings of the sound? Maybe GM-Reset SYSEX?
2. Does somebody use SD1000 not only with vArranger? If so - how do you use it?
3. Does SD1000 need any drivers for it's USB-MIDI interface? There is no information on www.ketron.it site.
4. Did anybody try to use such a kind of DC\DC converter for powering SD1000 from simple Power-bank with 5 volt (we use it with mobile-phones).. https://aliexpress.ru/item/1005003703674287.html
5. Maybe you have another suggestions to the guy who is thinking about SD1000.
6. I can not found the sound-exaples of SD1000's Pads and Leads. Can you share the recording of such sounds?

The problem for Santos was not because Roland synth can play only one MIDI channel, but because he could play only piano sound for melody track. I explained how to use another sounds of that synth....

Not sure, but if you will find *.ins file for your VST synths (maybe on CakeWalk site)  you'll have access to any of its sounds..  Simply put the *.ins file into INS folder of vArranger...
Please ask Google for ins files for your VST synths..  For example here the ZIP file has ins for your JV-1080, XV-5080  http://www.lilchips.com/cakewalk/LCSCakewalkIns.zip
To say, if you will use your VST with another VST-Host (for example free Cantabile lite) there is one free software to choose any sound of your synth https://www.kvraudio.com/product/selector-by-vague-software

There are about 100,000 styles for free in the internet only in Yamaha format. Can you tell me about the situation you will need also styles in Korg format?

Persons buy different brands of ACC stations because of their different sounds, not because they really need more styles!
The voices of vArranger's synths are simply the toy, to say truth. So.... What to say...

P.S. Band in a Box is the software for much different purpose than vArranger. It's not correct to compare them....

4. The old operation system in QY100 is very slow. So it takes much time to load song or style from SM card. Much time takes to list the existing files in a folder. More quickly is to do the same with Android mobile phone with free software on it.

Not only Yamaha XF but also Tyros and some PSRs!
And hi!  Yamaha will say no word, because those Russians made much better software synth!  And.. for FREE!!! 
I think it will be interesting for you to contact with these guys. They will tell you about many interesting things to make vArranger much better and.. much cheaper 
They also looks for programmers to make TyRus better. May be you will find each other!

P.S. I tried TyRus with XGWorks and seems nearly all DSPs works! Don't forget that soon they will upload the new version of TyRus and they say it will be much better

Everything below is my IMHO!!!

What I am thinking about vArranger...
I decided not to buy it. Why? There are several reasons:

1. The prize is nearly 400 Euro. For only 150 Euro I can buy (and I already bought it) the very nice device - Yamaha QY100. For my 150 Euro I have in it:

Anyway the sound is MUCH better than Soft Synths from vArranger and also from TyRus (the software XG synth I mentioned in the "The best VST Synth" topic). On the moment I don't know the VST synth with better sounds than these two.
FULL possibility of XG format, multitrack sequencer, auto-accompaniment section with very easy creating of your own styles, DSP for external guitar or microphone, etc...
At all - very nice toy to play, record and enjoy your music ideas for much lower prize than vArranger!

2. Some things I will never use in vArranger.
I am talking about "Channel Sound Edit" for example. Does somebody really perform any setting in this feature on-fly?
I prefer to make all these settings in MIDI file, but... There is no possibility to create multitrack MIDI file from my playing in vArranger. Why? What are the advantage of ACC software if I can not record my music exercises!..

is much and much interesting also with it's prize - 50 Euro!! 
"MIDI EVENT LIST" - how many times somebody use this feature in vArranger? What do they do with it?

3. The Sound Module that can be used only with vArranger - it is nonsense. Even the sound module in modern real Genos will bring tired from it after two years when Yamaha will create the new SuperGenos  ! And the presence of FREE soft synth TyRus which is at last not worse than soft synth of vArranger makes the last one absolutely unnecessary.
To say, the idea of adding Kontakt sampler with different samples.. Nice idea for play during ..a week. At last everybody will stop at the 3 or 4 sounds witch will be the "lovely" for right hand. And using Kontakt for accompaniments tracks is a real headache because Kontakt was created not for this  purpose, because all styles has unpredictable instruments! So - there must be the Standard sound module for ACC section (better to have XG standard module). Kontakt was made for software DAW, not for ACC toy.

4. I can not imagine the situation when the number of free styles for Yamaha in internet will be not enough and it make me to need Ketron styles and vArranger Ketron sound module with it's doubtful quality..
I am overloaded with Yamaha styles for all my needs and can not imagine the person who is not overloaded with them. Only the historical love to Kerton makes them to find more styles than they can have (for free!) for Yamaha.

In sum.. vArranger will be nice music toy for the prize about.. OK!.. 60 Euro, not more!

The process of creating is not finished, soon there will be the next version.

They included the Savihost into the folder with TyRus to use it also as standalone synth.
Pay attention that this synth (dll-file) is for 32bit Windows. So not all 64bit hosts can 'see' it (for example the x64 version of Cantabile can not). To say - BandLab CakeWalk can 'see'!
You can check this synth with any XG editor (XGWorks for example).

Really Yamaha XG format has many interesting features!.. But what I am talking about - you know them in more details than me..

Meanwhile thinking about good XG software syth I tried to found VST XG Synth which could 'understand' XG features (XG SYSEXs, DSPs, Controllers, RPNs, NRPNs, etc..) I think it is rather important for Yamaha styles.

So I found this one that can be used as the separate VSTi plugin with any MIDI software I want. And another one dignity - it's size is about 1Gb. So I can use it with my 2Gb RAM tablet.. And at last - it is absolutely FREE!

Hmm.. Let's say that your synth is the best! I found it really very good! The process of adding VSTs for the right hand has no limit for sure but the 'root' sound of whole composition is to your synth!!

You said about 6 Gb of samples.. Do you mean it is the one big Sound Bank for Yamaha / Korg / Roland / Ketron synth? Or it is some 'special' bank for Yamaha?
What do you mean by "disk streaming engine" for vArranger?

Does you synth have ins-file? Is it possible to look on it in order to get know the 'content' of the synth - what banks and what sounds it has?
What controllers from XG format 'understand' your "special synth"?

To say, it's really sad about the word "special". Is it really impossible to use your synth for playback midi files using vanBasco's Karaoke Player for example, or to use it for MIDI output in CakeWalk?..

I have 2 variants of Windows 10 tablets to be used for my music experiments:

1. HP Pro Tablet 608 G1 - it has 64Gb memory and 4 Gb RAM also the 8" 2048x1536, 4:3 screen resolution and x5-Z8500 CPU.
I use it when I need moe RAM for sample libraries in Kontakt or many VST synths in CakeWalk. Sure the vArranger runs without any problems..

2. When I want to go outside my house I use Cube iWork 7" Windows 10 tablet with 32 Gb memory and 2 Gb RAM. With its Intel Z3735G 4 core CPU and 7" 1280х800 IPS creen. it is also very good to use with vArranger (i use iRigKeys 37 as MIDI keyboard) with different VSTs and many libraries for Kontakt.

If you really want to have the smallest Windows 10 tablet - the Cube iWork 7" is the best variant if you'll find it! IMHO. I can not agree with idea of 2 Korg nanokeys because 2 octaves are rather much for auto-accompaniment and they need 2 USB ports in tablet..
