How it looks comparing with vArranger? It's interesting to know pluses and minuses.
Thank you!

Hello Dan!
The problem for Santos was not because Roland synth can play only one MIDI channel, but because he could play only piano sound for melody track. I explained how to use another sounds of that synth....

Not sure, but if you will find *.ins file for your VST synths (maybe on CakeWalk site)  you'll have access to any of its sounds..  Simply put the *.ins file into INS folder of vArranger...
Please ask Google for ins files for your VST synths..  For example here the ZIP file has ins for your JV-1080, XV-5080  http://www.lilchips.com/cakewalk/LCSCakewalkIns.zip
To say, if you will use your VST with another VST-Host (for example free Cantabile lite) there is one free software to choose any sound of your synth https://www.kvraudio.com/product/selector-by-vague-software
I think it is "must have" software :) It also needs *.ins file for your synth..
There are some ins file here http://sonarmusic.ru/index.php/instrument-definitions.html

"....With vArranger I can have, not one, but many arrangers from diferent brands and a more "do it yourself" philosofty....."

OK, my friend! May I ask you - how many arrangers do you need to be happy? How many styles of ACC do you need to say 'that's enough for all my needs, for all my songs'?
Maybe 1000? Maybe 10,000? Let's say it will take you about 3 min. to try one style.. How much time it will take you to try 1000 styles? ;)
There are about 100,000 styles for free in the internet only in Yamaha format. Can you tell me about the situation you will need also styles in Korg format?
Sorry, I really don't know such situation... :)
Persons buy different brands of ACC stations because of their different sounds, not because they really need more styles!
The voices of vArranger's synths are simply the toy, to say truth. So.... What to say...

P.S. Band in a Box is the software for much different purpose than vArranger. It's not correct to compare them....

What about 'AnyDesk'?

It's very easy!   :P Using this FREE software
http://dmx-512.ru/_media/programmy_upravlenija/ethernetmidi.rar

There are other MIDI software to transfer MIDI DATA by the local network (and not only local)..

For mixing parts of Yamaha styles there is this free utility:
http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/sremix/index.htm
QY100 allows not only to mix parts of styles, but also to copy any parts (of any MIDI track)   from any MIDI song, any number of bars and paste them as a part (so-called 'phrases') into any style.

Hi!
Nice to see the user of QY100!
I can add that QY100 has some features that were not described at all or were described very superficially in User Manual.
For example not a lot of QY100 users knows that:
1. QY100 can show the lyrics of the song and 'smiles'! Look on my video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtZHWEmNDWw&ab_channel=nakeyer
You can insert lyrics using XGWorks software for example:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9HYsnFMc3I&ab_channel=nakeyer
2. It is possible to construct the new voice from the existing with separate settings for each voice! A kind of possibility from Yamaha QS 300. Look on another my video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQPIShXKqcQ&ab_channel=nakeyer
3. Batteries can bring you only about 4 hours to play, but power bank with DC/DC adapter from 5v to 9v can bring you about 24 hours :)
4. The old operation system in QY100 is very slow. So it takes much time to load song or style from SM card. Much time takes to list the existing files in a folder. More quickly is to do the same with Android mobile phone with free software on it.
Another one my video (sorry, it is in Russian):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynbuwMcVa1I&t=472s&ab_channel=nakeyer
5. It is very easy to connect USB MIDI keyboard to QY100 (sure to QY70 too) using MIDI Host box:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sCovmDw30SQ&ab_channel=nakeyer

Thank you for watching!

Ha ha!
I can recommend this guy the empty pot and stick. There is nothing more simple to make a loud sound. No?  ;)

Not only Yamaha XF but also Tyros and some PSRs!
And hi!  ;) Yamaha will say no word, because those Russians made much better software synth!  :) And.. for FREE!!!  :P
I think it will be interesting for you to contact with these guys. They will tell you about many interesting things to make vArranger much better and.. much cheaper  :D
They also looks for programmers to make TyRus better. May be you will find each other!

P.S. I tried TyRus with XGWorks and seems nearly all DSPs works! Don't forget that soon they will upload the new version of TyRus and they say it will be much better :)

Everything below is my IMHO!!!

What I am thinking about vArranger...
I decided not to buy it. Why? There are several reasons:

1. The prize is nearly 400 Euro. For only 150 Euro I can buy (and I already bought it) the very nice device - Yamaha QY100. For my 150 Euro I have in it:
https://www.xshtstong.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=579757
Anyway the sound is MUCH better than Soft Synths from vArranger and also from TyRus (the software XG synth I mentioned in the "The best VST Synth" topic). On the moment I don't know the VST synth with better sounds than these two.
FULL possibility of XG format, multitrack sequencer, auto-accompaniment section with very easy creating of your own styles, DSP for external guitar or microphone, etc...
At all - very nice toy to play, record and enjoy your music ideas for much lower prize than vArranger!
Take a look here how it works in the good hands (not mine  :)):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwUWwhrJQbY&t=618s&ab_channel=JayB

2. Some things I will never use in vArranger.
I am talking about "Channel Sound Edit" for example. Does somebody really perform any setting in this feature on-fly?
I prefer to make all these settings in MIDI file, but... There is no possibility to create multitrack MIDI file from my playing in vArranger. Why? What are the advantage of ACC software if I can not record my music exercises!..
In that meaning the OneManBand software http://www.1manband.nl/omb/index.htm
is much and much interesting also with it's prize - 50 Euro!!  ;)
"MIDI EVENT LIST" - how many times somebody use this feature in vArranger? What do they do with it?  :D
"ARABIC SCALE" - the lovers of Arabic Scale will prefer this software https://www.sofeh.com/ I think..

3. The Sound Module that can be used only with vArranger - it is nonsense. Even the sound module in modern real Genos will bring tired from it after two years when Yamaha will create the new SuperGenos  :D! And the presence of FREE soft synth TyRus which is at last not worse than soft synth of vArranger makes the last one absolutely unnecessary.
To say, the idea of adding Kontakt sampler with different samples.. Nice idea for play during ..a week. At last everybody will stop at the 3 or 4 sounds witch will be the "lovely" for right hand. And using Kontakt for accompaniments tracks is a real headache because Kontakt was created not for this  purpose, because all styles has unpredictable instruments! So - there must be the Standard sound module for ACC section (better to have XG standard module). Kontakt was made for software DAW, not for ACC toy.

4. I can not imagine the situation when the number of free styles for Yamaha in internet will be not enough and it make me to need Ketron styles and vArranger Ketron sound module with it's doubtful quality..
I am overloaded with Yamaha styles for all my needs and can not imagine the person who is not overloaded with them. Only the historical love to Kerton makes them to find more styles than they can have (for free!) for Yamaha.

In sum.. vArranger will be nice music toy for the prize about.. OK!.. 60 Euro, not more!

Thank you for reading! And sorry me for my bad English.

Nice you like it!  :)
It was made by Russian programmers. They named it "TyRus"  ;)
The process of creating is not finished, soon there will be the next version.
The last version (from May) you can download here:
https://yadi.sk/d/NE5m8i9QLwZ9Ew
They included the Savihost into the folder with TyRus to use it also as standalone synth.
Pay attention that this synth (dll-file) is for 32bit Windows. So not all 64bit hosts can 'see' it (for example the x64 version of Cantabile can not). To say - BandLab CakeWalk can 'see'!
You can check this synth with any XG editor (XGWorks for example).
The discussing staff about this synth is here:
https://vk.com/yamaha_vsti
You can join it for sure. The persons who makes this synth are very pleasant persons!
Hope I help you!
Have a nice day!

Thank you for attention to my questions!

Really Yamaha XG format has many interesting features!.. But what I am talking about - you know them in more details than me..

Meanwhile thinking about good XG software syth I tried to found VST XG Synth which could 'understand' XG features (XG SYSEXs, DSPs, Controllers, RPNs, NRPNs, etc..) I think it is rather important for Yamaha styles.

So I found this one that can be used as the separate VSTi plugin with any MIDI software I want. And another one dignity - it's size is about 1Gb. So I can use it with my 2Gb RAM tablet.. :) And at last - it is absolutely FREE! ;)

Here is the examples of sounds. Sorry - I didn't adjust tracks mixing...
https://cloud.mail.ru/public/3x5P%2F5wXY9frwU

I will think about purchasing vArranger!
Have a nice day!

Hi Dan!
Is it possible to buy vArranger without any "special synth with special features"?
Thank you!

Hmm.. Let's say that your synth is the best! I found it really very good! The process of adding VSTs for the right hand has no limit for sure :) but the 'root' sound of whole composition is to your synth!!

You said about 6 Gb of samples.. Do you mean it is the one big Sound Bank for Yamaha / Korg / Roland / Ketron synth? Or it is some 'special' bank for Yamaha?
What do you mean by "disk streaming engine" for vArranger?

I wrote this one:
"...In order to understand the sound with NRPN job it would be interesting to hear the MP3 record of this short MIDI file with your synth:
https://cloud.mail.ru/public/4v5P%2F4P82DooZ8 "

but if you say you can use your synth only with vArranger (it's really strange for me, but let it be so!) - I understand you can not do that... It's a pity..
I made the recording of this MIDI file using the XG software synth I have. Here it is
https://cloud.mail.ru/public/28zu%2F5wD5A3ywh
with the example of NRPN for guitar...

Why I am asking about all this.. Maybe you know there is rather good sound library of samples of Yamaha s900 for Kontakt. Samples are really very good and sounds the same as the real Yamaha PSR S900, but ... they are only samples without 'understanding' such things as NRPNs for example and other things from XG standard. Sure I can add some addition VST with DSPs.. But it is a headache a bit :)

Thank you!
But is it possible to read more details about "special features"? Does your "special synth" support XG format (reverb, chorus, DSPs, banks of instruments, NRPN, etc..) and what about support of XG format SYSEXs?
Does you synth have ins-file? Is it possible to look on it in order to get know the 'content' of the synth - what banks and what sounds it has?
What controllers from XG format 'understand' your "special synth"?
And so on...
To say, it's really sad about the word "special". Is it really impossible to use your synth for playback midi files using vanBasco's Karaoke Player for example, or to use it for MIDI output in CakeWalk?..
And one more question :) - please can you playback this MIDI file using your synth https://cloud.mail.ru/public/4dqD%2F35VaytbHe
make the MP3 file and share it here?
It would be nice to compare the sounds with the synth I have on the same MIDI material.
In order to understand the sound with NRPN job it would be also interesting to hear the MP3 record of this short MIDI file:
https://cloud.mail.ru/public/4v5P%2F4P82DooZ8

.. And (Really sorry for annoying!!  :'( ) for the last.. As you are the great specialist in this matter - on your opinion - what software synths for vArranger can take the second and the third place  ;) meaning your one is the best!

Thank you a lot!

Thank you a lot for example!
Sounds are really very good!
Can you please tell about details - is it VST? Is it Sound bank? In what format? What is it's size and it's resolution (...bit and ...kHz)
Thank you one more time!

The question was exactly about "..might be the smallest tablet..."  ;)

Thank you for pretty fundamental answer!  ;)
More interesting for me is to know what VST (or sound bank..) produce more better sound using EXACTLY Yamaha styles in vArranger! I am not interested how many voices it (VST or something else) will produce.
"... the vArranger Software Synthesizer with our SoundBank , completed by few SF2 SFZ VST instruments..." - it sounds great! Where I can take a look on examples?

Hello!
I have 2 variants of Windows 10 tablets to be used for my music experiments:

1. HP Pro Tablet 608 G1 - it has 64Gb memory and 4 Gb RAM also the 8" 2048x1536, 4:3 screen resolution and x5-Z8500 CPU.
I use it when I need moe RAM for sample libraries in Kontakt or many VST synths in CakeWalk. Sure the vArranger runs without any problems..

2. When I want to go outside my house :) I use Cube iWork 7" Windows 10 tablet with 32 Gb memory and 2 Gb RAM. With its Intel Z3735G 4 core CPU and 7" 1280х800 IPS creen. it is also very good to use with vArranger (i use iRigKeys 37 as MIDI keyboard) with different VSTs and many libraries for Kontakt.

If you really want to have the smallest Windows 10 tablet - the Cube iWork 7" is the best variant if you'll find it! IMHO. I can not agree with idea of 2 Korg nanokeys because 2 octaves are rather much for auto-accompaniment and they need 2 USB ports in tablet..  :(

Hello!
I am new to this forum.
Can you please give me advice what MULTI-TIMBRAL VST (or maybe another software synths) is better to use with vArranger and Yamaha styles?
Thank you!
