Although I am quite happy with the standard sounds in VA, I would like to experiment.

Can "Timbres Of Heaven GM_GS_XG_SFX V 3.0 Final !!!.sf2" be a direct replacement for the standard VA soundfont?

To use soundfonts, you need to copy the sf2 files in the  \vArrangerData\Sounds\Samples\   folder, and then start vArranger

Be careful, the files will be loaded in memory, so you need to have some

Thank you Dan, I 'think' I am safe.  My console computer has 16 Gig/B of RAM.

Other than copying the file to the correct location, would I need to configure something somewhere in order to use the file, would it also need a new .ins file to be able to use it correcty?

No. New sounds should automatically be there, in the sound groups buttons, and also in the INS / SF2 screen
