Ketron SD4, USB and Windows 7

Hi,

I want to know if someone here use vArranger on Windows 7 (or Vista?) with the Ketron SD4 connected by USB.

It seems that Ketron SD4 by USB + Windows 7 is not working good.

Hi Dan,

I had issues with SD4 not working correctly when connected via USB.
I use USB for power supply only.

I also connect a midi cable and route output via midi cable from SD4 to PC to vArranger

Yes there are issues with SD4 with USB only

OK so now we can say it officially

The SD4 USB is NOT compatible with windows 7.

I have just tested the Ketron SD4 OS Version 1.32, and the SD4 is now working good with windows 7

I just seen this topic and I want to say to you that :
I use Varranger with one little EEPC with Win7 (32)=> USB=>SD4 !
It is perfect !

Today I test vArranger on EEPC under Win7 32 Bit => USB => Ketron SD4. After a short time the system was buggy. PANIC function has not released the situtation.
Close vArranger did not restore the situation.
Disconnect the USB cable SD4 has been blocked to stop the note.
I reconnected the USB cable and rebooted vArranger.

VArranger actually works very well with Ketron SD2 using Midi / USB interface Edirol UM (1, 2 or 3). For me it is UM2.
That this to correct my previous post which claimed that worked well SD4 Midi via USB.
Apparently the problem is USB.

Apparently, it's better to use the SD4 with the MIDI port than the USB port...
