This is STILL available. Previous potential buyer never called back.

Please do not contact me with lowball offers.

I am afraid I have no control over the price of shipping.

I'm In Philadelphia... Should make shipping cheaper :)...

I paid $450 US for it in March. I will sell it for $375US + Shipping. Still has original box, power supply and adapters.

I  am considering selling mine, as I find my SD4 more versatile.  Any interest?

I am aware of that.  I have read other responses from users in Europe who WERE able to power the SD1000 (certain lucky ones) with USB power.  IMO, it was a poor choice on Ketron's part to sacrifice this feature when it was common to the SD series (SD2 and SD4.) It was not specified on their web material that it either did or did not run on USB power, but having previously owned an SD2 (and still owning and SD4) it would be a fair assumption to make (assuming one had not already BOUGHT the device and read the manual.)

Ketron makes great sounds, but IMO poor decisions, and their support is marginal at best.

NONE of my USB ports (desktop or otherwise) will power it.  The RAVpower seems to do it with no problem.  Nice to have an "untethered" solution.

I was very disappointed that the SD1000 will not power from most USB ports.  Event the SD4 can do that (and it is like two SD2s combined !!)   I did find a portable power charger on Amazon that will provide 9v to the SD1000 and even has a 9v cable included that is an exact match.

I have not tried it live yet, so don't know how long it will last on a charge, but I suspect long enough for a gig if you power off between sets.

The Surface PRO 3 is a different beast.. Intel Core I3,5 or 7.  I have an I5 and it is very powerful and has a nice big screen for old eyes.  MSFT makes good hardware.,, but they are never cheap.. and rarely discounted.

Dan:

Could you weigh in on how this license transfer will work?  I am interested in purchasing this no-longer-wanted copy.  I intend to install it on my tablet which has only one USB port (which I will need to use mt Ketron SD1000.  I do NOT want to drag around a USB hub, as the purpose of selecting tablet it to minimize the gear I need to carry.

After paying the seller, how do I obtain the bits and new licence key?  What happens to the license key if I need to refresh/re-install Windows?  Also Windows 10 is due for release by the end of July.  Have you tested vArranger with Windows 10?  Are you certain the key will work when I upgrade?

Thanks,

If you are allowed to transfer the license, I would be interested.  I am a BIAB user, and really want the vArranger only for patch management and perhaps as a SoundFont source. I already own a Ketron  SD4 AND and SD 1000, and would love to use it for just quickly managing the patches for the SD1000 (and have no need for the accompaniment features, so would prefer not to pay full retail.)

I am not a keyboard player. I play woodwind controllers (Yamaha WX-7) and EWI.  I don't know how difficult a job it would be to disable the already existing "arranger" code and just leave the patch management/sysex and softsynth bits.  With more and more people using tablets, a large, easy-to-use UI for live playing would be highly valuable even without the accompaniment features. A light version could leverage existing code without much new development effort and open up a whole different market just looking for the utility functions.

I found out today that USB has to put out 5v.  None of my ports handle that.  I HAVE to use the AC adapter.

I am a long time Band-in-a-Box user.  I would gladly pay $200 for a version that just allowed me to change patches easily live from my Windows tablet (Surface Pro 3)  I have a Ketron  SD4 an just bought an SD1000.  There is NO good software for live use to change patches.  The SD4 at least can do that in hardware, but I would love to just have a simple interface for the SD1000 as opposed to bringing up BIAB and having a tiny UI to select patches, reduce reverb, etc.
