Dan,

I am having issues using .INS MODE with Yamaha Montage.
Although all Instrument banks are displayed, only Montage GM Banks are played regardless of what instruments selected.

How do I play correctly Montage instruments to accompanied left hand sounds with vArranger2 .INS MODE?

Are there settings to be made on the Yamaha Montage?

Regards.

Dan

You need to select 'MONTAGE' mode in vArranger in OPTIONS/MIDIPORTS, and use the Montage INS in vArranger, and link the montage INS with the Montage midi out

Dan,

I did as you suggested.

Montage Sent to MIDI OUT 3 is now linked to vArranger2 and shown "CONNECTED TO MIDI OUT" > Montage in the "SELECT A SOUND" section.

I can select presets and change different Montage instruments (as seen on VArranger2 RIGHT 1 Volume Strip,) but the selected sounds are not heard via MIDI OUT3.

Although shown "CONNECTED TO MIDI OUT", it seems the sounds are not received by Yamaha Montage.

MIDI OUT 2 > VST is working satisfactory.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards.

Dan

Do you right click on the track, and sends to midi out 3?

The Wizz

Yes, I right click on the RIGHT 1 track and send to midi out 3.

vArranger2 shows "CONNECTED TO MIDI OUT" > Montage.

Montage receives/play vArranger2 LEFT HAND accompaniment sounds, but the RIGHT 1 Sounds send to MIDI OUT 3
are not heard when played.

I recall a similar .ins problem I had with vArranger2 and Yamaha Motif XS6 years ago needed changes
to Motif's settings to resolve.

Will check forum posts to see if this situation is applicable.

Meanwhile, your continued assistance would be appreciated.

Regards

Dan

Usually it needs the montage to accept receiving on the 16 midi channel ms. Usually song mode or computer mode or something like this

My old MODX6+ handles Montage-to-file operations really well. My MODX7m, however, does not.
