For Yamaha styles, pressing "count in" just goes straight into the normal rhythm, rather than a drumstick intro. Does "count in" not work for Yamaha styles?

According to page 20 of the manual, when arranger is stop, the bass is played manually. However, when I play on the left part of the keyboard, no bass notes sound. Am I doing something wrong or is the manual not correct?

"5.5.1 NORMAL BASS
When the Arranger is running (START), the bass is automatically generated around the
agreements received in a style unique to each melodic line.
Arranger OFF (STOP): the bass is played manually"

Yes, I have tried several of the second screen iOS apps, but each has its quirk:

- Duet Display - works fine except for vArranger: doesn't response to touch in Win7
- Microsoft Remote Desktop - need to drag and position the pointer to a button first before touching the button
- iRemoteDesktop - screen partially obscured by the menu bar

I'm going to install Win10 to see if Splashtop or Duet Display work.

Teamviewer works even after multiple reboots. It's quite impressive. I can do everything remotely from my iPad including rebooting. The touch response is a little lagging over the Internet. It's not reliable for changing style variations, but I guess I could use a separate MIDI controller for that. It's unfortunate that the free version of Teamviewer doesn't allow LAN or wired connections, and the corporate license is prohibitively expensive. Nevertheless, it's a BIG improvement over Splashtop. Thanks for the recommendation, Dan!

May I ask if you could try to reproduce the problem that I have experienced with the free version of Splashtop, if you have some time?

Another remote control app that I'm going to try is VNC Viewer.

Thanks Dan!

I have tried Splashtop on both my Macbook (bootcamp) and Sony VAIO. On both, I'm running Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit. Splashtop only works for me after an installation, but after logging out or restarting the computer, it would stop working. I've also confirmed the behavior on both on my iPad and iPhone.

The only way Splashtop I got it to work is running Windows in VirtualBox, but the MIDI and audio latencies are too high.

Hello,

I'm new to vArranger. I'm trying to use my iPad 2 as a touchscreen with vArranger running on Windows 7. I've tried both Duet Display and Splashtop XDisplay Wired with no success. The touchscreen works fine with Windows 7 except when I launch vArranger, the screen stops responding to touch. When I exit vArranger, the touch response is restored.

Does anybody has an idea what might have caused this issue? I'm experiencing this problem with vArranger only, and not with other Windows 7 apps.

Hi Dan,

I wonder if vArranger supports "fingered on bass" for playing inversions (C/G, C/E) and descending bass lines (C, C/B, Am, Am/G, F, F/E etc)? I hope it does, as I can't imagine playing without it.

Anyways, I am happy to hear that the virtual sound module is going to be available in a very foreseeable future.

Hi Dan,

I've just read that you will soon release a virtual sound module. Do you have a estimated release date?

Hi Dan,

Thanks for your prompt response. Does the vArranger license covers future upgrades?

My keyboards and pedalboard are separate controllers. I guess I could use a MIDI merge box to reduce the number of MIDI IN ports to 2.

I'll be selling my mox6, so I'll probably get an SD2 if I decide to purchase vArranger.

Hi Dan,

I am interested in purchasing vArranger. I have a few questions regarding the product:

* How many keyboards can I connect to vArranger? Can I setup vArranger to play 2 or 3 keyboards, plus a pedalboard, each playing a different voice?
* Can I layer voices or split independently on each keyboard?
* Can I use Yamaha MOX6 as a tone generator? How about the Mega Voices on MOX6? How would the sound from MOX6 compare to Ketron SD2?

Thanks,
Patrick
