I have been using the vArranger software synth, this was just a matter of me trying different possibilities. The only real difficulty was a result of not being able to get back into the "MIDI PORTS..." menu so that incompatible assignments could be reset.
#2
Apparently there is an incompatibility with the ASIO audio output when using the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth.
#3
I found the problem. The ASIO driver under AUDIO OUT seems to have been the issue. I erased that reference from the .ini file and I'm able to select the MIDI PORTS... options once again.
#4
I removed every MIDI OUT reference in the .ini file with no change in condition. The program still freezes up whenever I attempt to access the MIDI PORTS... selection of the OPTIONS menu.
#5
The power management is now and has been set to it's highest performance setting. That doesn't seem to be resolving the error. What is this error message indicating?

I appear to have an issue with selecting the correct sound output for vArranger2. After having chosen what seems to be the wrong device I can no longer get into the MIDI PORTS... option of the OPTIONS menu. The program freezes up and won't allow any adjustments and reports an error showing "ERROR: midiOutLongMsg = 1". I have (obviously) restarted the program as well as the computer to no avail. If I first attempt any of the other possibilities (Controllers..., Song Chords..., MIDI Event List..., etc.) under the OPTIONS menu they are all avilable, but MIDI PORTS... still freezes the program.

At this point I'm having success with a program called LoopBe1 found on NERDS.DE. It' recognized by both JamOrigin's MIDIGuitar and by vArranger.

I'm trying to put the two software pieces on a Surface Pro 3 and it has an Intel HD Graphics 5000 display adapter and I'm at a loss for contact information for the loopMIDI author

Thank-you for responding. Could you describe to me the exact, step-by-step procedure you used? I've downloaded loopMIDI and it lauches properly but every time I click on the + to add a port it crashes the entire computer leaving with a blue-screen-of-death. What am I doing wrong?

My stats:
   OS: Windows 8.1 Pro
   Processor:  IntelCore i7-4650U @ 1.7G 2.3G
   System: 64bit OS, x64-based processor
   RAM: 8G
   HD: 500G SSD

Can vArranger 2 read Jam Origin Midi Guitar as a midi input source if both are running on the same computer?
#11
Aha! There it is. Thank-you for your quick response and for the work done translating the document.

I own a Ketron Audya 4, a Ketron Midjay, a Roland BK-7m, and, at one point, a Korg PA-1X Pro. Each has been useful in it's own way but it's nice to have the possibility of access to more cross-platform styles from a single source. I'm eager to see what can be accomplished using VSTs.

Do you folks have a recommendation for a VST "collection" package that provides excellent samples and variations.

Has any progress been made on the Virtual SD2?

Lastly, are there yet any English-language tutorial videos?

Again, thanks
Marty

We just purchased vArranger2 and would be more excited about it if I understood better how to use it fully. I see here that an English manual has been sought for years and I'd like to know what progress has been made. Is there a place on this site that I'm missing?  Is there some other place where the English manual is located? Also, are there English language tutorials/videos somewhere to help customers who'd like to better understand the many features and possibilities of vArranger2?
