I would like to make a "travel" version of the arrangement keyboard.
I have these two short keyboards: CME Xkey 25 and CME Xkey 37.

I would like to use the 25 key version to play chords with my left hand,
and I would like to use the 37-key version for playing melodies with my right hand.
The problem is that if I select Xkey 25 as MIDI 1 and Xkey 37 as MIDI 2, I can play chords with my left hand, but my right keyboard doesn't produce a sound, even if I check "play notes." MIDI 3 and MIDI 4 also don't work; only the MIDI icon flashes.

Am I doing something wrong?
Should I set anything else?

Dan

The MIDI 2 with PLAY NOTES option will play the notes of the LEFT parts.
The idea behind this was, for people who wants to play with 2 keyboards, to "steal" the left voices that are often not very important when playing with an arranger, and to offer them to a second keyboard

Hi, Dan.
Thank you for your answer.

My solution is functional but unnecessarily complicated due to the need to use external utilities.
It would be more suitable to set routing directly in vArranger.

MIDI In channel for playing chords. Default value 1
MIDI  In channel for playing melody (right sound). Default value 1
MIDI In channel for playing second melody (left sound). Default value 2
MIDI In channel for playing bass. Default value 3
MIDI In channel for external control. Default value 4

With such a combination, it would be possible to emulate Yamaha Stagea or WERSI devices.
