What I always do on my computers is to go on the task manager menu options, and select "Always Visible"

Then, in any case, I press the windows key, then right click on the task bar and run the task manager, then kill process

vArranger songs only saves a link to right and left sound
So, if you want a more complex sound, you need to first save it separately
The idea behind that is that when we are creating some good sound combinations, we want to use them in many songs. For example my Piano+Strings sound. I use it on many songs. If I improve it a bit, this will profit all my songs.
Maybe I will automatise this in a future version as many people like the one button idea

It is a bug caused by the Windows update.
This is not a very important bug, if you don't use SYSEX midi messages to control vArranger, or some rare midi controllers that need sysex to light their leds

Different USB cable (simple printer cable)
Plugging it directly to computer without USB hub
When it is plugged in, do you see the USB logo on the montage screen becoming blue/activated?
Can you try uninstalling Yamaha drivers? The midi audio should still work with less features, in class compliant mode.
Did you update to latest montage firmware?

Latest: montage is usb2, not usb3

Some settings in bios/UEFI may disable the usb2 'legacy' mode
Try to see there the USB settings, or update to the latest bios/uefi

Can you try it with other software?

Go in the device manager, and check if the Yamaha synth is visible, or an unknown device visible missing it's driver, or a disabled device there

The feature you ask is to take the pitchbend from another keyboard than the main keyboard, and send it to the synth.

Not all styles will sound good with every synth
Especially recent styles are using for example some drums with special mapping not gm compatible
We have some optional soundbanks to help with this

Yes you can use the midi mpk keyboard to control vArranger like with the korg nano
I don't have this keyboard, so I don't know about the mpk knobs how they works
mpk pads should be ok
It seems mpk will not react to the led feeedback messages, to lights the pads like with korg nano

The pitch bend feature you ask is not available in vArranger actually, but can be added in a new version of vArranger

Yes, you can change the split point (clic on split the orange screen, and play the split note)

Are you sure you did plug a USB cable (USB B) from the Roland FP-30X to the computer?
If you don't have a dedicated audio card, I think, you should use the ASIO output of your FP-30X. (Not WASAPI, Not ASIO4ALL, Not your laptop audio)
This way, you can hear vArranger in the FP-30X speakers. Or maybe you prefer your computer's speakers?
But first, it needs to be in the list.

One little USB hub with the korg nano and vArranger USB should be ok. They can stay always together and plug only one USB cable. Some hubs are very very small
I have no experience yet on wireless midi, if it is 100% reliable and low latency

vArranger has a MIDI learn function and can assign a function to a MIDI message
You don't need to bother with midi CC
Just select the function to assign, play your midi pedal, it should be OK

You can try to move all the vst3 files from the C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3  folder

And see if it works

I see on the MODX M manual
There is a lot of options in the MODX M midi page
MODX M can send what you play in midi channel 1, and receive 16 midi channels on the USB port, but you need to find the correct option

Some software has pages and pages of settings, but for vArranger, I try to keep it simple so the user just plugs the keyboard sits and plays music

99% of midi keyboards are sending on midi channel 1 when you plug them the first time, or has option for channel 1

If the midi channel selection was added, you can be sure that at least 30 users per year will change it, and will ask here why it is not working

I have here a Arturia Keylab MkII and I will work soon to add compatibility for this keyboard in vArranger
It seems to have a lot of possibilities.
The form factor, layout is nice. Not sure about the touch
Unfortunately they have now released the mkIII version that seems to have less buttons.
I tend to prefer Fatar keybeds with some external midi controllers.
I also bought a cheap M-VAVE SMC-Mixer, I will work on that too

Faders are sending midi cc from value 0 to 127. They are not suitable to control the full range of the tempo and are not enough precise to control safely features other than volumes, reverb etc...

By the way, I will work on it and you will be able to change the tempo with the 8 infinite knobs of the Keylab mkII

It will be more easy to change and adapt a bit your project on the Cubase side, than on vArranger (adding a midi software in between)

This can be done only if you have infinite knobs
Finite knobs and faders are not OK to control tempo
TEMPO ENCODER function is available in vArranger for some midi controllers
Transpose is always buttons on every keyboard, as it need to be precise

This is because you have assigned the T key in the OPTIONS / CONTROLLERS window
If you did this by mistake, simply remove it

This can be adjusted with 2 buttons
The tempo can be changed with an infinite knob on some midi keyboards

SAVE RIGHT SOUND or SAVE LEFT SOUND can create new custom sound preset, that can be recalled on the RIGHT/LEFT track close to the master volume fader

When you SAVE SONG, you can check the box to recall the preset sound on LEFT and RIGHT track

The MIDI 2 with PLAY NOTES option will play the notes of the LEFT parts.
The idea behind this was, for people who wants to play with 2 keyboards, to "steal" the left voices that are often not very important when playing with an arranger, and to offer them to a second keyboard

If you want to play a melody with a different midi instrument than the MIDI IN 1, you should set it on MIDI IN 2 and not MIDI IN 3, and check PLAY NOTES of MIDI IN 2. You can use the MIDI IN 3 for midi controllers
Then the LEFT track will be reserved for this MIDI IN 2 melodies

Using same audio with 2 pro software is usually not possible, unless the audio interface driver has this possibility (multiclient)

I can see on the picture that you are trying to play original Ketron styles. They often use LIVE DRUMS sound in their percussion tracks. Those are not standard and often sound bad with a basic GM drumkit
To play such tracks, you can use a Ketron sound module, or if you like our software synth, buy our optional soundbank to improve compatibility with such styles

We provide 32 bit and 64 bit versions of the synth
Check if you have the 64 bit version in the task manager. It should be able to load 64 bit plugins

For guitar players, I suggest the FULL KEYBOARD mode, and in this mode you need to play at least 3 notes so the chord will change. With this you will not have wrong recognitions

I don't think it is a virus, but you have linked the space bar with a vArranger function (OPTIONS / CONTROLLERS).
So every time you hit the space bar, it will run the vArranger function.

You can always play chords with one note (in split mode), but they will be major chords
To play minor chords, you need to play 2 notes
The SINGLE FINGER CHORD option, is a recognition mode like on Yamaha keyboard, but is not very interesting to play this way

Yes, this was a lot demanded, as in Yamaha keyboards registrations.
I thought it was better to have our sounds in a separate section, to create your favorite sounds and be able to use them on many songs.
But I can understand that some sounds are used only for one song style.

The only way to save upper sounds is to do SAVE RIGHT SOUND

It is actually loading your last preset, or last preset associated to the last song loaded
You can do SAVE RIGHT SOUND to save the actual preset
I am not sure I understand it well, so you can send a video to explain

If you want to use voices from VST and vAsynth together, you should use for example RIGHT 1 for VST and RIGHT 2 for vAsynth, then save right sound.

Very nice pictures.
In vArranger OPTIONS / MIDI PORTS, you can select the MIDI ORGAN mode, and select the midi input channel for the lower / upper and pedalboard

Then in vArranger, you can see that the lower keyboard will play the LEFT 1 / LEFT 2 / LEFT 3 tracks

You can play the 3 sounds together, or split them

You can right click on any track, and do SOUND EDIT, or double click on the track

This will show you the sound edit screen, when you can change many parameters on each layer, and you can split there, and even change some of the velocity options.

Pour les styles genos, notre soundbank est très intéressante.

Vérifier que le mode KETRON SD2 est bien activé dans le menu OPTIONS/MIDIPORTS face à MIDI OUT 1
Ensuite, pas tous les styles sonneront bien avec le Ketron SD2, étant donné qu'il n'a pas forcément tous les sons/drumkits des Korg/technics/genos, mais commence avec des styles un peu plus anciens qui étaient plutôt compatibles GM. Ensuite, vArranger essaye de rediriger quelques éléments vers le SD2
S'il y a des styles qui te tiennent à cœur, je pourrais améliorer le mapping pour ces styles et le SD2

Pour les midifiles, par défaut il utilise la banque de sons de base.
Il existe beaucoup mieux et installable facilement.

Essaye par exemple d'ajouter ce SF2 dans ton dossier SAMPLES

C'est un monde...

Pour chaque piste, il est toujours possible manuellement de sélectionner un autre son, parmi les banques disponibles, et faire SAVE SONG

Dans la version précédente, si tu voulais utiliser 6GB de sons, il fallait charger 6GB de sons en mémoire.
Ce qui prend du temps, et surtout nécessite beaucoup de mémoire.
Avec la nouvelle version, il n'est plus nécessaire de tout charger en mémoire, mais au moment où tu joues une note, il va la charger du SSD vers la mémoire, puis la jouer immédiatement.
Cela doit se faire très vite, et parfois il y a des dizaines de sons à jouer en même temps.
S'il n'arrive pas à tout charger assez vite, ca va s'entendre...
Pour aider le système, vArranger peut pré charger une partie des sons.
Tu peux définir la quantité de sons qui va être pré-chargée en mémoire. Et la quantité de mémoire utilisée pour les samples va s'afficher sur la jauge en haut. Il faut lui laisser le temps de se stabiliser avant de commencer à jouer. Il y a aussi une jauge CPU en haut qui est intéressante pour savoir si l'ordinateur est stressé ou pas.
Par exemple, en choisissant 50ms de PRELOAD, vArranger va charger en mémoire les 50 premieres millisecondes de toutes les notes de tous les instruments, afin de sécuriser leur démarrage.
Donc si dans la banque de sons un Do au piano a été enregistré sur 6 secondes, je vais charger au demarrage de vArranger uniquement les 50 premières millisecondes, et non les 6 secondes.
Lorsque la note sera jouée, l'ordinateur aura alors 50 millisecondes pour charger la suite de la note.
En principe cela fonctionne très bien sur la plupart des ordinateurs que j'ai essayé.
Montre nous ta fenêtre OPTIONS / MIDIPORTS.
Regarde également si ton PC est bien branché et non sur batterie, et s'il est bien en mode performances maximales et non économies d'énergie.

1) oui les banques servent par défaut pour les styles et peuvent être utilisés aussi en main droite/main gauche.

2) non. il vaut mieux ajouter une banque SF2 GM généraliste dans le dossier Samples. On le fera une fois résolu le problème de lenteur. Au fait quelle est la configuration CPU de cet ordinateur? c'est une surface pro 7?

3) le preload sert à te permettre d'utiliser plus de sons que ta mémoire ne te permettrait. et à démarrer le logiciel plus rapidement. A laisser de la mémoire disponible pour windows et les autres programmes.

Essaie de descendre le preload à 50 ms, s'il y a des cliketits, monte à 100 ou 150
