Title: Mox 6 Question
Post by: 4partmusic on February 05, 2013, 11:26:03 PM
I just ordered a Yamaha MOX 6 because a guy that doesn't play keyboards as a main instrument  just can't have too many keyboards :)

Will I be able to use the MOX 6 natively to connect to Varranger or will I have to use Midi Yoke or something like that to connect?

No problem. Just plug the MOX USB cable to the computer.
It will add a MIDI Port that you can select on vArranger

Well I have the MOX 6, I loaded an INS fil and it shows up in Varrager.  Do I have to go throug and set all the styles or should Varranger pick up the right insruments for the most part?  I am assuming I need the keyboard set to voice mode?

Thanks,

Terry

Try to set vArranger in XG or GM2 or GM mode
Try playing Yamaha styles

From what I see, the MOX6 own a GM bank and a GM drum kit.

Load a style, and listen to each track of the style, and let me know if there is a problem on a track.
