Title: vArranger + ketron SD2 + Yamaha Styles mp3 Demo
Post by: Dan on December 21, 2012, 11:07:26 AM
Someone posted 3 yamaha styles, and audio recordings from his Tyros on the french forum, and wanted to hear the same styles played by vArranger + Ketron SD2.

So, I did it, and you can listen what to expect here :

Impressive!

Dan, would it possible to listen the same style with XG sounds? I would like to understand if I could avoid SD2 purchase.

Thx!

Dan,

I just did some A/B listening to the file you provided from the Tyros and what my set-up sounds like and it doesn't sound the same at all.  It is not that it sounds bad but kind of like the difference between a Yamaha low end keyboard and the Tyros.  I am wondering if I don't have something set right in my SD4 because I should be able to emulate what you recorded right?

Thanks,

Terry

This is recorded with the SD2. The SD4 sounds a little bit different from the SD2 (better with less bass?)

You should get the same sound as me.

Could you send me an email with a mp3 recording, so I can listen to what you mean?

Ivan, Do you have any synth?

I have a CLP 170 piano, with nice XG sounds embedded
