Title: VB3 Organ
Post by: Vasik on April 17, 2012, 02:43:37 AM
Hi Dan!
I installed the vb3 organ and I don't know
how to do to play it thru the vArranger, but the vArr. doesn't see it.

I have VB3 in Cantabile along with Halion Sonic.  If you use the same procedure as Halion Sonic, and make VB3 active in Cantibile, it should work.

You have to install and run this
http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/Downloads/loopMIDI_1_0_2_11.zip

Then on cantabile, select the LOOPMIDI for MIDI IN

On Arranger, for MIDI OUT 2, select LOOP MIDI.

Then right click on the RIGHT1 track, and send it to MIDI OUT 2 only.

Let us know

Sorry but from my knowledge i don't know the meaning of the word (cantabile), therefore i don't understand what you are saying. Could you clarify what it means?

Ok, so was you able to play VB3 organ without vArranger?
It is a VST plugin, you have to load it inside a VST host.

Yes, thru Sonar X1.
Just let me know, how to load it inside a VST host?
I know how to do in other DAW's, but in vArranger i don't know how to do it!
I need more explanation.

You can install and run LOOPMIDI

If you want to use Sonar X1 as VST host, go on it's options : MIDI INPUT, select only LOOP MIDI

You can also use another VST host like

http://www.hermannseib.com/english/savihost.htm

or

http://www.cantabilesoftware.com/lite/

Do you see the SONAR X1 midi led indicator blinking when you play a midi note?

Read again this steps :

Maybe it is a question of midi channels.
Right 1 is channel 13
Look at if Sonar is listening to this channel or ONMI

On Sonar and Cantabile is selected omni.
Let me know, on Sonar or Cantabile the outputs should be unchecked?

I just downloaded VB3 Demo...

On top of the VB3 screen, click on GLOBAL OPTIONS MENU, and select UPPER MIDI CHANNEL 13

The SD2 is not a PC audio card, it's just a MIDI synth module.
You need to find a mixer and plug your SD2, and PC sound to the same speakers.
