Title: Creating "Fuller" RH Sounds for Styles
Post by: Deane on November 08, 2011, 03:53:39 PM
Dan,
I want the RH Lead sounds to be "fuller".  Right now I simply use a single voice for the RH lead voice.  I would like to add a second voice to that setup but I want to change the second voice with each variation change.  How is that done with vArranger?

We must make a patch for each of its variation.  :P

You can make a vArranger patch with up to 4 right hand sounds and save them in my sounds?
eg. I usually have one solo instrument like sax/trumpet/piano etx and mix this with a second voice filler like strings and a third voice filler like organ.
What I am waiting for is Dan to make harmony which allows you to harmonise the lead solo voiced played on the Right section according to the
chord played.
The harmony is on the right habd and also playing/following the melody and follows the lead solo note being played.
In ketron keyboards they have different harmony choices like FULL, JAZZ, TRILL, BLUE GRASS,  FOLK, 5th etc.and you can adjust the harmony to be slightle quiter than the solo. You will know thay Yamaha tyros also have same feature.
I asked for this about a year ago.

Do you know that you can select the RIGHT 1/2/3/4 track and choose a sound. It will be layered automatically.
When you combi is good, just press SAVE RIGHT SOUND. You just created a new preset.

Then drop it on your sounds bar, like usual....

Thanks guys, I'll give this a try.
Another question.  I want to change the octave, usually up, that the RH voice is playing in without transposing the entire instrument or style.  How do you do that?

If you want to change the octave of the right hand sound, select the RIGHT track (just before the MASTER fader)  then clik on OCTAVE +  (in top right of the screen)

There is other way to do it, but it is the simplest

Hi Jon,

That is exactly what I have been waiting for too. I mentioned a while ago about a harmony feature and that was something we have to
wait for 8)

The only difference is I need harmony on Left instrument not rigth as I play all melodies while my wife does chords etc.
