Jon,
I used this program last night and converted almost 2000 PDF lead sheets to JPEG format. However - it placed each leadsheet in a separate folder. I have not seen an option in the software to have all the files placed into a single folder. But, the program works and is rather fast.
Deane
Deane,
Im not sure I follow what you say?
I converted all my pdf and they are in same folder.
In vArranger I created the "Score" folder into the "My Songs" folder and copied all my converted jpd into the "Score " folder.
Then I can view next/previous images as required.
jon
Jon,
After I did the conversions every leadsheet was in it's own individual Folder instead of all of them being located in a single folder.
Deane
I cant find why this happened for you .
When you click the convert botton you should be asked to create a new folder (and name the new folder) then all newly converted jpg are filled in the new folder individually.
jon
? Im I understanding you?
When I open my jpg folder containing all newly converted jpg . The folder has all individual jpg images
see attachement image.
;)
Hi Lylo,
Yes, I found the box to check in the settings section and I ran the program again and just like you said all the files are now in a single folder.
Deane
Deane / Lylo
My box was already ticked in that software but to help Deane
I tested with it not ticked before you suggested it to Deane.
It did not make any difference to my conversion which already worked correctly either ticked or unticked.
Please note my files were already in one folder so I had NO problem.
I wonder if it only applies to WIN 7 (64 bit) or something.
Anyway Deane has the solutiuon now - but I did experiment.
jon
I used the software today, it's really good, thank for the information.
I still have not been able to get the JPGs to display in vArranger. I just can't figure out exactly where in the vArranger file system the "Score" folder goes.
Deane
For example :
Name folder : Bossa
Title : Girl from Ipanema
You must make a folder in the Bossa folder like this :
C:/vArrangerData/Styles/StylesRom1/Bossa/Score (you just create Bossa/Score)
After you put your jpg "Girl from Ipanema" in the folder Score
When you have choose the style for the title and choose the right sound, you save with "save song" with exactly the same name "Girl from Ipanema"
That's all.
Oh, so you have to have a Score folder for each song?
Deane
No, not a Score folder for each title.
Folders :
Bossa/Score
In folder Score :
Girl From Ipanema.jpg
How insensitive.jpg
Corcovado.jpg
(...)
In folder Bossa :
Girl From Ipanema.sty
Girl From Ipanema.sty2
How insensitive.mp3
How insensitive.mp32
Corcovado.pat
Corcovado.pat2
(...)
Oh, I get it now. Dah! I should have seen that relationship.
I'll give it a try this weekend and report back.
When I tried it before I did get the display quality I get from my Ipad but
I'll try again. Perhaps various settings for my laptop screen resolution will
help. It seems also that scrolling was not as easy.

HI
I do it a bit different for playing live styles.
Under the menu bar "MY SONGS" I have made a category folder for a style named "QUICKSTEPS"
In that folder I have saved various quickstep styles and in particular a style I named "WHEN YOURE SMILING" .
Also in the "QUICKSTEPS " folder you need to create a new folder and call it "SCORE".
You can put ALL your jpg files that are needed for QUICKSTEPS into the SCORE folder within the QUICKSTEP category.
I have named the first jpg manuscript image ("WHEN YOURE SMILING") so it links with the same STYLE.
This way when you select the STYLE for "WHEN YOURE SMILING" it is linked and automatically opens the jpg "WHEN YOURE SMILING" because it has the same name to establish the link.
Now heres the clever bit. I think lol?
I have then named another jpg ("WHEN YOURE SMILING 2") as this also uses/shares the same Quickstep STYLE but the jpg song is actually for another jpg song "Four leaf clover" under the disguise name of"WHEN YOURE SMILING2"
So this way the same style can share many jpg's that use / share the same style ie"WHEN YOURE SMILING2" When you are smiling3" When you are smiling4 and When you are smiling5 etc etc.
Now when the fist page jpg is in view I simply press the "NEXT PAGE" button forward and back to turn the pages forwards/backwards etc that I use for the same style QUICKSTEP as required.
It sounds complicated to explain but it practice it works.
Jon
Yes, when my lead sheet is on 3 or 4 pages I write (for example) "Titanic", "Titanic1", "Titanic2" and I turn the pages with 2 keys on my pc keyboard.
Lylo
You can also use foot pedals.
jon
Yes but I have no pedal, only the pc keyboard and the Korg Nano Kontrol.
It's ok for me because I am pianist.
yes a bit easier than accordion
