Title: MODX M7 und vArranger2
Post by: Woge1000 on December 14, 2025, 12:08:21 PM
Hello, my new Yamaha MODX m7 now comes with MIDI 2.0. I'm having problems
with the predefined MIDI channels, like CH 13 Right 1. If CH 1 is set on the MODX m7,
I can use it in my DAW, Cubase 15, without any problems.
Dan, ich brauche ein Update   !

I see on the MODX M manual
There is a lot of options in the MODX M midi page
MODX M can send what you play in midi channel 1, and receive 16 midi channels on the USB port, but you need to find the correct option
I don't have a modxm here to help you more
Let us know

Hi Dan,
I think VA2 does not know the new MIDI 2 Protocol?
Please correct me if I wrong.
Best regards
Werner

I read daily about the many MIDI problems experienced by users switching from MODX to MODX M. Multimod is no longer available, and Cubase 14AI is included. It uses MIDI 4 and works fine. The new VST software EPS also uses MIDI 4, for whatever reason. The John Melas Tools don't run well with the M models either. Everything is very slow, and only the Live Set with Total Library works.

The Performance Editor isn't available for the M devices at all. The sounds of the MODX M7 are truly superb, but the user interface is not.
Die Montage ins Datei kann auch nicht genutzt werden.Das stimmt alles nicht mehr
