Title: Midilooper
Post by: Bernie9 on August 26, 2011, 01:25:18 PM
Dan

I wrote you privately but maybe you didn't get it.

I want to know if Van Basco and MidiNotate can use different out ports in a midilooper at the same time.  I want to be able to switch programs at will.

Thanks
Bernie

Will you plan to close one program and open the other one, or do you want the 2 programs to be opened together?

Dan

If this is a problem I can open one at a time.

Bernie,
I think you can only open one at a time like I have to do in a similar situation.
But Dan will confirm this for you.

I just tried.

You can load 3 softsynths together, each one is reading from one Virtual MIDI cable.

Thanks Dan.

MidiNotate doesn't work and Van Basco does.  I have port 1 listed.  Should I add another port ?

Yes, you have to add a virtual midi port for each simultaneous program.
Then connect :
- the player 1 to softsynth 1 via midi cable 1
- the player 2 to softsynth 2 via midi cable 2

It's like you can add as many sound modules as you want. All is virtual :)

Thanks
