Title: Songbook Feature
Post by: OldTimerBill on July 14, 2022, 12:51:13 PM
Hi all ... I hope you are staying safe.

I have a general question about the songbook feature in arranger keyboards which I will try to keep appropriate for this forum which is related to vArranger.

My first arranger keyboard (the KorgEK50) is an entry level arranger without a songbook feature. My initial question is to try to get an understanding of what "songs" include. I believe a song includes the sounds and styles that are appropriate for playing a particular song. My confusion comes in with midi files. Are song specific midi files always associated with a song? How are the midi files used?

I believe there is a songbook feature in vArranger. Is it a database like the Korg songbook?

Thanks in advance for any help understanding this feature.

Bill

I can answer for vArranger, a SONG may include any music file. Midifile or Stye or MP3...
You can associate this file with a right hand melody sound, a pdf score, etc... and save this SONG
We also have playlist, to create a list of 'SONGS'
