Hi, is it possible to export Cubase midi file with markers and then change extension to some style format (.kst .sty .pat korg, yamaha, ketron etc...)?
Will it works on Varranger?
I export midi file with yamaha style markers and change extension to .STY but Varranger not recognize it.
Is there any way to create styles on Cubase and play it on Varranger? Not to use any other software, only these two (Cubase & Varranger)
Hi,
Not possible!
You can make the Stylebase as Midifile with Markers in Cubase and then use CASM Editor to make a Yamaha Style.
Then VA2 can read this Style!
Best regards
Werner
If the style plays on Yamaha keyboard, it should play on vArranger too. If not, send me the style to check it
Yes it's possible, midi file must be in the 0 format not 1, just change extension from .mid in .sty and vA2 read this style without problem,
but the better way is how it is @haweneu said, that midi file insert in CASM editor and create casm of style because without casm you only
can change instruments and volume in vA2, but other important style functions like NTR, high key, low key, RTR and etc...
not work because style don't have casm, without this you don't have full control of your style and style behaves uncontrollably,
this functions only can be written in casm editor and saved in one .sty file together with midi file...
Note that you need a recent version of vArranger, and not the one from 2012...
