Title: Problem getting controller to change variations-SOLVED!!!
Post by: Deane on June 24, 2011, 11:07:50 PM
First, I have a Roland A-800 Pro controller.
Using Dan's instructions on setting controller buttons I set the A1, A2, A3, and A4 buttons to call up each of the variations.  The problem is that A1 calls up variation 1 with the properly linked voice but button A2 calls up variation 4 instead of variation 2.   I have tried dozens of times to get this right but the result is always the same - only variation 1 and 4 are called up by the  buttons.

Anyone have any ideas here.

Write how do you solved your problem. I think the 2 buttons were sending the same midi controller....

Hi Dan,

I have no idea what happened to solve the problem.  I just kept trying to setup the buttons A1-A4 for variations 1-4 and finally it just worked.

Thoses buttons have a aftertouch feature.
So on the Controller screen, when you assign things, press them very softly, if not, the aftertouch will come.

Then you can use them at any force
