Title: Which Version Of Windows?
Post by: Deane on May 06, 2011, 11:22:42 PM
Dan,
Like you, I have a MacBook Pro.  I will not use Windows for anything else but running your software.  So, which version is most stable with your Varranger?
I still have XP and Vista and Windows 7 and I really don't care which I use.

Do you know if you can run Windows on the Macbook Pro from a USB drive. I just picked up a 1TB portable USB drive for my Mac.   If not, how much free space is need on the Macbook HD for the Windows installation?

My favorite is Windows 7

I have a 500 Gb Hard drive on my MacBookPro.  I gave 100 Gb to Windows 7.  But since I am finaly using more my Windows partition than the MacOS one, I would probably cut 250/250

I don't think that the external USB drive will be good for installing Windows.

Dan,
My MacBook Pro has only a 250 gig hard drive in it.  I have about half of that free but don't want to use it all for Windows.  What is the minimum amount of space Windows needs to run Varranger including any future updates that might be made to your program?
