Title: My Sounds from ins file
Post by: TechnicsKN7000 on June 02, 2016, 01:57:58 PM
Hi,

When I select a sound from my ins file (Technics KN7000), can I place that Sound in the My Sounds area?

Thanks,
Mike

Sorry I've looked through the manual and tried various things but I can't work it out. Let's say I want the following instrument to be immediately available, how do I do it? MALLET-JazzVibesGuitar [32-80-11]

You must include an instrument definition file in the folder ins., after you go in the windows "sf2&ins" and you can use the program change from the file .ins.

Thanks, I have the ins file working and can select sounds from it. I've saved a Sound into My Sounds. I can't figure out how to update the sound in "My Sounds" with an instrument from the INS list.

You select a sound for the RIGHT1 track from INS
You SAVE SOUND
You can find this sound again when you click on the RIGHT or LEFT track, close to the master volume
And then drag this sound into the MY SOUNDS bar

OK thanks I'll try it. Is it possible to then update that Sound? Or just have to save a new one?

Yes, SAVE again with the same name, to update it

You can also layer many sounds together....
