Is it possible to do this?:
1. Connect a guitar interface Roland GR-55 to MIDI-IN of a keyboard controller with MIDI interface like M-Audio Axiom or Novation impulse.
2. Set the keyboard controller as the first MIDI-IN PORT in vArranger . (Both GR-55 and the keyboard transmitting in channel 1).
In my dream, this way, I could control chords and play Righ Hand Sounds with the guitar or with the keyboard alternatively whenever I want. Is my dream correct or would I have problems? :-)
Hello !
excuse my bad english ! I try to write in your language !
I am guitarist Midi and I have 2 Midi Guitars.
To use both on vArranger I use MidiOX MidiYoke program. It is freeware. You install Midi Yoke in your computer.
Midi Yoke create 8 Midi ports.
in Midi OX inteface you can connect 8 Midi In.
Then:
1°) Connect Gr-55......Midi Out => Midi In interface => USB => IN Midi Yoke IN N° 1 => OUT MidiYoke 1
2°) Connect Keyboard Midi Out => Midi In interface => USB => IN Midi Yoke IN N°2 => OUT MidiYoke 1
Then In vArranger Midi connection you can select the Midi Port MidiYoke 1
Midi OX and Midi Yoke are the "swiss knife" of the MIDI ! :)
It works very well !
Thank you so much Tidon.
I will soon start the experiments :) :) :)
For now, there is no midi merge in vArranger
