Title: The Desktop Arranger as an External Module for vArranger
Post by: lakere on February 18, 2016, 11:36:32 PM
I am eagerly waiting for my vArranger USB key to arrive this week.    I have a Desktop Arranger by V3 Sound and I am thinking of driving it from vArranger.   It appears that not only is vArranger a versatile arranger but also a handy midi program changer to access sounds in external devices.   The Desktop Arranger has manu unique sounds depedning what sound board are installed and I am trying to see how I can use vArranger to access those sounds in the Desktop Arranger on the fly.   Is it just a matter of storing midi program changes to access sounds?   What would be the best way to quickly call up sounds on multiple midi channels in external midi devices?

Thanks,

Hello,
The best to do is to find the .INS file (INSTRUMENT DEFINITION in Cakewalk Sonar format) of your sound module.
This will help to select the sound from a sound list

Thanks.  I don't think my the midi expander has an INS file.   I am reading about how to create one.
