Title: tranmitting all info via midi
Post by: lmbmusic on February 18, 2011, 12:41:47 AM
I would like to record into cakewalk midi sequences from varranger with all information attached. How can this be done. When I try all i get are the note message. I like this too. But sometime I would like to have all information transmited. I like to edit midi files in cakewalk to build a song.

Hi Larry,

Did you try the latest SONG CHORDS feature on the version 1.04? It is very usefull to record a song?

Check your email.

Then you need a midi virtual cable to connect to cakewalk.

Press record on cakewalk, then load the style and play the song on vArranger.

Dan, I can record to cakewalk but it doesn't transmit instrument info. I have to go back and figure what instruments are used on each rack. If I play cakewalk back thru the SD2 It doesn't have that info. I do like you chord option in varranger now.
There are a few things I like to do after I have the song set to midi file that are beyond what you intend with varranger. Nothing against varranger program. I am putting together original music. Just working with basic rhythm patterns

It will be cool when we will be able to export the SONG CHORDS to midifile for more editing.

If you want the program changes to be sent, just press PANIC
