Am I right assuming that Ketron SD2 has the same sound quality / engine as SD5 and SD1000 has the same sound quality / engine has SD7?
Because if this is true, after hearing the demos of SD7 on YouTube, I want to buy an SD1000 and marry it with my vArranger! :P

Yes, but I think that the SD7 use drums wav loops for the styles that you don't have on SD1000

I have tried several sound modules with vArranger2, Roland bk7m, Yamaha mu128, Roland jv1010 but the Ketron SD1000 is by far the best to my ears.

I have ketron sd2 and sd1000 not everything fully functional yet i'm a recent user but the sounds on sd1000 are far better.
