Title: VST and midi ins
Post by: Julesg on November 14, 2015, 02:17:20 PM
Hello

I have the pianoteq VST that recognises the midi input 1 device, but not the midi input two going through Varranger.  I updated my second keyboard to an Alesis VI61 - and want to control the VST with its buttons, but play it on my midi input 1 piano.  Is there anyway to send both midi input port from Varranger to the VST so it can pick them both up?.

Any help would be appreciated

Jules

What do you want to control with the buttons in the VST?

On OPTIONS / CONTROLLERS, you can define 64 VST CONTROLLERS to control your VST parameters

If you want the 2nd keyboard to be able to play music, go on OPTIONS / MIDI PORTS, and in the MIDI IN 2, check the PLAY NOTES box

It will play the LEFT sound

Hi Dan

The VST pianoteq plugin does have parameters - and they can be set in Varranger as you said.

However the functions in the VST I want to change, (so I can change between pianos) are not included as parameters - but can be assigned a midi cc in the VST.  However it only seems to go via midi in 1.  So if your buttons are on a controller in midi in 2, it does not see them.

Does that make sense?
