Title: XG Reset
Post by: Dmacgraw on February 16, 2015, 12:26:45 PM
Hi, vA2 Forum members.
I recently purchased the vA2 software and currently use it with a Yamaha SW1000XG ASIO enabled PC soundcard.
I have noticed that some STY style files leave the card's settings in a changed state which produces unexpected results when loading another style.
Is there a simple or recommended way of sending the XG ON reset without closing vA2 or can this be done from within vA2 somehow?
Your comments would be appreciated. Thanks. David.

Does the panic button in top right of the screen is enough?

Thanks for your quick reply, Dan. I have tried the Panic button but it doesn't appear to reset my card which has, I believe, a unique XG ON reset command. Any other SW1000XG users willing to comment? Thanks. David.

And what about doing OPTIONS / MIDIPORTS => START

Try to send me a style that cause your problem, and send me the style that you load after, that does not sound good
