Dan,
I have everything working with SD-1000, and vA2.
So I play the same styles as the demos

My setup does not sound the same/as good as his SD-2 demos.

I have the MIDI out to SD-1000 and I have tried both GM-2 and SD-1000 as the detail for the sound

I love the demos but I can't seem to get the same quality.
Do you convert all style sounds to GM? Or based on sound module....convert to other sounds?

So let's take one style. I have the SD2 and SD1000, I can listen to the difference
