Title: NEW FEATURE : NOVATION SLMKII and vArranger
Post by: Dan on August 08, 2014, 04:03:58 PM
Hello,

A new version is ready for people using the NOVATION SLMKII.

This will allow LED FEEDBACK including lighting of the BUTTONS and the knobs LED RINGS.

To configure it go on OPTIONS/MIDI PORTS.

In MIDI IN 1, select  SL MKII 1

In MIDI IN 2, select  SL MKII 2
In MIDI IN 2 check FEEDBACK LED, and select SLMKII 2  in the displayed list.

It is done.

Now you can assign your midi buttons, faders, knobs... in OPTIONS/CONTROLLERS

Enjoy !!!!!!

Dan

Is the Led Feedback, including lighting, also suported for other
Masterkeys like M-Audio or CME UF or any other Key ?

For now, I have tested the KORG NANOKONTROL2 and NOVATION SLMKII

I don't think CME or M-AUDIO has leds on buttons, and if they can be controlled by external midi messages

On CME UF Classic are LEDs on 6 Function Buttons.

You can try to activate FEEDBACK LED on the OPTIONS/MIDI PORTS, but I don't think CME allows you to light the button's leds with a midi message.

Dan
Using the SLMKii, I would like to control the Lesley Fast-Slow effect of a B4II organ.
The modulation toggle does this biut it returns to OFF when you let it go, I would like a switch to turn it ON, and then ideally it would stay on until I pressed the same switch to turn it OFF

any ideas

Stuart

There a way to say that a VST controller is a 'SWITCH'

Hi all

New user here and incorporating VArranger in my setup :-)

I did try setting up the Novation SL Zero Mk II with VArranger last night. I was able to connect tempo increase to a rotary but then when I deleted it as I wanted same tempo control rotary for for tempo increase/decrease, VArranger wouldn't accept any more midi learn.

I wonder if any of the users have a working template for the SL MKII which I could download to get going.

Thanks

Did you set this :

In MIDI IN 1, select  SL MKII 1
In MIDI IN 2, select  SL MKII 2
In MIDI IN 2 check FEEDBACK LED, and select SLMKII 2  in the displayed list.

Then, go on OPTIONS / CONTROLLERS,  select the TEMPO ENCODER line, and turn an infinite knob encoder with led ring.

Let me know if you have a message

Dan

Thanks Dan

My Novation Zero SL MkII has no keys to input notes. Do I still choose it for MIDI 1, or only as MIDI 2 with LED for control surface?

My controller keyboard is Motif or Kronos which I have set as MIDI in 1 right now.

Did you test Novation Launchpad Mini?

Hello fibcouple, can you send me a picture screen of you OPTIONS/MIDIPORTS ?

MK-3XL, I have written some code for the LAUNCHPAD original and it is working great with the led feedback. I think it should work with the Launchpad mini too.
