Title: Trouble with vArranger and Roland FP-80
Post by: richeng1223 on June 03, 2014, 11:04:27 AM
Hi, all,

I just purchased vArranger and am new to the forums.

Was wondering if you can help me with a slight issue.  I am using a Roland FP-80 as my controller, sending out MIDI through the USB port to my tablet which is running vArranger.  I then send the desired sound from vArranger back to the FP-80 and play through it's GM2 sounds.

However, when I play the vArranger sounds I was also hearing the default selected voice coming from the FP-80 (Bank 1 Voice 1 being the "Concert Piano").  I turned "local control" off on my FP-80 and that fixed the problem for the right hand (No internal "Concert Piano" sound coming from the FP-80...just the selected voice from vArranger).  Unfortunately, the left hand, below the split point set by vArranger, is sending both the chord data (which is what I want) and also playing the internal "Concert Piano" sound (which I don't want).

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks for your help!

Regards,

Rich

Hello Rich, and welcome to the vArranger forums :)

What you can do is :
- Click on the LEFT track, close to the MASTER VOLUME fader.
- Click on OFF, on top left of the sounds groups (PIANO, E.PIANO).

This will stop the left hand sound from vArranger.

Let me know,

Dan
