Title: Chord Mode
Post by: Bernie9 on November 19, 2013, 08:44:27 PM
I have noticed some of my chords are sounding off key.  Take a C chord and play C alone it sounds fine, but when I play the rest of the chord, the bass is off in the rythm. For example, take a simple 4/4 with a 1+5 bass.  The fifth does not play with a full fingered chord.  I thought maybe it was on one finger mode but I can't find an option.

It is only when I use inversions.  Root on the bottom is ok.

You mean, if you play only C+G ?
Try to add the E
Is it ok?
In vArranger, as in Yamaha keyboard, the 1+5 chord removes all the E.
Try to send me the style and the exact notes you play on the keyboard, so I can try at home

I mean that if I play CGE, the bass is alright.  If I play GCE it is not.  The same with all inversions, the root has to be on the bottom when all triads are played with three fingers.

If it is not something in your program that I can change, it must be something else.  I will keep investigating.

Maybe you clicked on the BASS   " TO LOWEST " button?
This feature allows you to decide witch note of the chord the bass will play
So if you play GCE , the bass will be the lowest note : G
It's a cool effet on some songs, but you need to be carefull on the chord inversion played
