Title: Will V Arranger Load an Audya Style
Post by: rikkisbears on October 17, 2010, 09:33:40 PM
Hi Dan,
before I get my hopes too high, will VArranger load a midi based Audya Style?

best wishes

Not for now, but soon yes.
Why do you need this format?

Hi Dan,
the reason I asked about the format is, yesterday  I came across the Audya Style Compiler software.
It appears to be able to create an  Audya style from midifile format, plus you appear to be able to edit the style to a certain extent in the compiler itself.
That is something that has really bugged me about Ketron's since my SD1+ days, lack of note editing functions.
I used to try & edit Ketron styles in EMC software in event list edit. Unfortunately, EMC used to remove certain controllers from the beginning of the style, making some of them unuseable.

Hence I though, finally some sort of a Ketron editor.

best wishes

As I told you on synthzone, now that vArranger can play the Yamaha styles, you have to know that Yamaha styles are basicly MIDIFILES format 0 + another section for the arranger settings, who can be easily edited on the computer. There is a lot of tools avaible on the web.

You don't have to convert your midifile to style. Just load it on you DAW and edit it directely.
