Hello,
I'm planning to buy vArranger soon and I have a question regarding installing it on my laptop:
I have 2 laptops:
#1 laptop (normal, no touch screen) with Cubase software on it and connected to Steinberg midi interface.
#2 another laptop - this one has a touch screen.
I want to install vArranger on my #2 laptop (the one with touch screen), but this one has no Cubase on it and is not connected to my Steinberg midi interface.
What should I do in this situation? I want to benefit from my touch screen for vArranger, but for cubase and midi I want to use my other laptop. I also want to be able to record on Cubase tracks that I play on vArranger as part of my Cubase projects.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Dan

If you want to do everything on your main computer, and like having a second touch screen, I think it's better to buy a touch screen to plug on your main computer.
Touch screen is good when playing live, but not really needed for Studio work. You can also use a Korg Nanokontrol2 to control vArranger
If you use the SD1000, you can plug the SD1000 audio outputs into the Steinberg AUDIO interface to record it

It's very easy!   :P Using this FREE software

There are other MIDI software to transfer MIDI DATA by the local network (and not only local)..

RTP Midi is very good to share MIDI access over ethernet or Wifi, I have used it for many years, both on Windows 10 and XP (XP needs older version)
