Can anyone give me some hints ?

I know you can add a second voice.  Are there any more options ?

Bernie

Dan

Yes, of course.

Select a sound. Then clik on the RIGHT 1 track, and select a sound.  Then clik on the RIGHT 2 track, and select a sound. The 2 sounds are layered !
Then clik on the RIGHT 3 track, and select a sound. The 3 sounds are layered... ! You can layer up to 5 sounds together.

If you want to cancel the layering, press on the track you want to mute, and press on the OFF button. It is on top of the sound group (piano, e.piano.)

You can change volumes, pan, FX... and double clik on any track for example RIGHT 2, and get the SOUND EDIT screen. Then you can change more settings for each layer part. For example, you can create a key split, or velocity split, or change octave, and many more ....

When your sound is OK, press SAVE RIGHT SOUND, and give it a name and a sound group.

Then you can call again later this big layer just by a clik of a button.

It is a very powerful and easy feature....

Man! Talk about options.

That is fantastic Dan.

You da man !

I have to change all of my track assignment controls.  I clear the assignment by pressing "No Midi Control".  I go to the slider I want and a box pops up and says that it is assigned to previous controller.  How do I change it ?

Deane

Hi Bernie,
What controller are you using?  On my Roland A-800 Pro I have not had the problem you mentioned.  Under controls if I disabled the control I was able to assign it to another item.

With Dan's help I did learn that the Controller has to be configured to accept the assignments - that might be the issue.

I don't know, Deane, because it is the same controller as I've had right along.  I was always able to change it before.  I quess I will have to wait for Dan'

I appreciate the reply.

I figured it out, user error as usual.

I cleared the new slider but didn't clear the old one.  It works fine when you clear both.  It makes sense when you think about it.

:) Yes, in the new versions, vArranger don't let you make mistakes. So you can't assign 2 times the same controller.

Bernie9

One problem remains.

I put sounds in R1-R4 and saved it as Right Sounds and put them in SAX with a name.  I also saved it as startup config.  When I load vArranger I find my sounds.  However, when I switch to something else and go back to the SAX family to reload my user sounds, it has disappeared.

I have to exit vArranger and reboot to have it reappear in the SAX family.

Where did it go ?

Dan

You don't need to save startup config. You sounds are saved with SAVE RIGHT SOUND.

What you have to understand is that the sounds that you can select for Right 1/2/3/4 are the sounds of the SD2 only.

To find again your user sounds, you have to clik on the RIGHT (or the LEFT) track in the master section (close to the master volume red fader)

Then you can select any of the provided layered sounds, or your user saved sounds, or the single sd2 sounds.

What you can do is to DRAG your user sound, from the right vertical list, to the MY SOUNDS favorites bar.

Then your sound will be accessible directly.
