Report 1.18.02
« on: December 28, 2017, 11:20:10 AM »
Hallo Dan,

Congratulations for this version, it works very well.
These dropouts have disappeared and work smoothly.
I am enthusiastic.
Thank you for this great work.
That is what I have been waiting for.

Just one:
Is it possible that you can install an octave switch for each track,
so you can manually set the individual tracks up or down.
Transposing the whole song works, but does not change the individual tracks.
Would be a sensible thing.

Many thanks for this great work.

Yes,

in the Sound Editor a switch octave up and down for each track.
The Sound Editor is already available and had everything you need.
Only you can not raise the sound up or down an octave.
With Exear software, it is possible, or I edit the style.
But sometimes you would need the bass or guitar strings, etc. one octave lower or higher.
Can not be set here.
It only works with the right sound, or transpose for the whole song.
But not for the individual tracks.
I think it would be an important tool.

I wrote about that too earlier a couple of times... Sometimes you would have great styles, but some instruments are so low...they sound like somebody walking in manure in rubber boots. With octave adjustment for individual instruments it would be whole new game.

I, too, think that it will be a very useful feature.

Need to think... octaves... per track/per song   or variation or linked to program changes...

I would put it in Sound Edit, then it would be on track.
So I can switch every track up or down.

It would be best if the change in all variations would be possible.
Intros, Endings, Main's and Fill's.

It will be good that can change for every variation/fill ins, intro/ending especially and that can be saved in a SONG...

Wish list :)
This came up a few times...

Another feature that would be useful is shortening or extending measure. For example when style is playing and you press "break" manually it starts on the next tact., but in "song chord" it has to run through whole bar and changes only on the next.

I guess Dan, for a lone wolf doing good job in maintaining VA, but for some serious improvements there is time involved that most of us do not have.

I wish future of VA would be similar to kickstarter. For example, enough people want a feature, Dan says X Euro please and it will take X weeks to do it. If money goal is met, people get the feature they want, everybody happy.

Another suggestion....
Maybe it (octave changer) should be a cornerstone for style maker?
Maybe a separate "paid for" plugin (stylemaker) that can work by itself or integrated into VA.
