Best Laptop(PC) for Varranger

I just about decided to buy a used PC laptop for running Varranger rather than
add Windows to my Mac Book Pro.  For your software to run really well with no glitches what is the recommended processor speed and RAM requirements?

Any recent computer will be OK.
Intel Core2Duo processors are good.
Windows 7 is good.
If there is a NVIDIA graphical card it is good.
2 or 3 Go RAM for Win 7 is good.
If you buy it used, maybe it's better to reformat the HD and reinstall Windows, to get a clean Windows installation, without too much running softwares on it.

Also, if you go for the Windows x64, be careful if all your drivers are available for 64Bits.
