I open this post to ask whether it will be implementable mode "Performance", ie playing 15/16 MIDI channels simultaneously (without styles) in multi-split layers, like a synth. I do not know if I get the idea.

Lylo

In french but I think you can understand with the movie.

Les sons Right et Left (vA v1.16) :
1) "Principes de base"  http://youtu.be/ySes1sJeF6E
2) "Multilayers complexe" http://youtu.be/i8aDlYNjw8g

Thanks Lylo for the video, my idea (as well as extending the 16-channel layer) is to simplify patch creation operations.

Lylo

So you want use vArranger from 1 to 16 channel without mode style, only for instrument as a vst host ?

DjTony1981

Yes of course. It would be an immediate and simple solution during a live performance, instead of using a complicate VST host.

Lylo

#5
But you know, actually system it's ok for this use. I have a project with only vsti and left and right hand + Mysound is ok for me.

Edit : left + right + second voice, so 8 tracks. :)

Dan

You can actually use up to 8 multitimbral parts for the right and left sounds
Just try to put sounds inside the RIGHT2 track...

DjTony1981

It would be a comfort to have 16 channels, even to play with 2 o more keyboards ..

Lylo

Two keyboard is 3 channels for one keyboard and 5 channels for second keyboard. What do you want to do exactly ?

DjTony1981

I want to use one simply software for multitimbral sound layer..

Lylo

For this tune : https://youtu.be/D7E7gyssw1Y , groove with Transfuser playing by small keyboard for left sound. In right sound 7 patchs for master keyboard.
See attached file for mapping.
No arranger function used for this project, only vsti.

DjTony1981

I don't understand what the problem or the difficulty of implementing a simple thing and for 90% do it..it's practically sufficient sending MIDI-IN messages directly to 16 MIDI channels, each with a sound / split / different properties ..

Lylo

Yes midifile is on 16 channels, so we can hope a 16 channels performance isn't difficult to implement for Dan but how many people use this function ? Because if it's not too difficult, is some work and many, many functions needs work in vArranger.
8 channels are enough for me and my vsti project, I just want another functions. :)

(but I am ok with you for "16 MIDI channels, each with a sound / split / different properties .." me to I want the functions of right and left sound for all channels).

Dan

Yes, possible to do, but it will be another program.  Not vArranger...  Why not later...

DjTony1981

It would be a good thing to turn vArranger in vWorkstation  ;D
