Just wondering if I can test your TA Sound Engine......it sounded great from the music I downloaded  :) :) ;) ;)

agaton

You mean TA Sound Engine from my Trans Audio System Instruments or... ?

Bachus

No clue, googling for TA sound engine gives no results...

However i am allways interested in learning something new...

agaton

You can't find that on Google, because it is intern for vArranger2
and it will be part of vArranger2 version 1.18. I make this TA Sound
Engine
on the basis of Ketron SD1000 plus Mega Samples sounds
from Yamahas Tyros instruments and some other HQ sounds. "one"
has heard sound of TA Sound Engine on vArranger2 YouTube Portal.
Dan has uploaded some of Styles played with TA Sound Engine.

V 1.18 sounds interesting then!!!

Any ETA available yet?

As far as I know, all of this Updates are
Beta versions of vArranger2 v.1.18 !!!

one

Yes...it's the one you and Dan are working on. I think it's your trans audio system instrument

agaton

Yes it is. TA Sound Engine is still in work. There are some new sounds
wich I have to implement, and in addition "fine-tuning" of this sounds.
I need a little bit time to finalize TA Sound Engine, and only than, it can
be distributed. All details about it, later hier on the site.

k Thanks....I'll be waiting

lee

agaton,
super...just take your needed time and get it right...that will be best for all.
Thanks for all the work!

Thanx !!! I have maked one Sound Engine in Emulator X3 format befor
a few years for Live Styler and it is finalized. Every one Sound Program
with 2 insert effects, one of them is always 4-Band Full-Parametric EQ
and other is different for each Sound Program (Flanger, Distortion... etc)
with all GM and XG Midi Controllers implemented, multilayer vlocity switch
sampled, edited with LowPass Filter and Amp and Filter Envelopes, two LFO
etc... etc... All what will be needed for XG stadard sound editing. All this
controllers are also in vArranger2 Sound Editor. Drums Sets are all with
Ambient, stereo sampled and in XG Standard PCG Table. Indeed  Latin,
Cuban and Arabic Drum and Persussion Sets. This EMU Bank was tuned
to play Yamaha Styles, and it sounding very professional. There are about
2 GB of first class sampling material (over 7.000 samples, perfectly looped
and edited).

But developing of Live Styler was stopped, and in the last beta developer
version was not "to stable". Stellberg was not so inflammatory program
developer like Dan is, and all of this amazing sounds, and whole my work,
was in vain... for nothing. Now, is fantastic vArranger2 here, and I have
again ambitious aim to make one very good software based Sound Engine.
Now, I have to convert many sounds from Emulator to SF2 format, and to
polish them (from this sound bank), and to merge with new sounds what I
maked on basis of Ketron SD1000, to become one perfect Sound Engine in SF2
for vArranger2. It will be possibly about 4 GB Sampling Content. vArranger2
is, by light years, the best accompaniment software and cause of that I need
little more time to make and fit good enough Sound Engine for it. I hope and
know, it must be very, very good !!!

Lylo

You want to selling your bank ?

lee

agaton,
Very good indeed!
I have the older emulator X and now that is no longer available too...it is sad and upsetting when product goes away.
I have MANY of the sound sets for Emulator X and paid a lot of $$ for them. I don't think emulator X will even run on W7??

I still do not see that without the quality sounds on mega-voice Yamaha styles will ever be right?
Is what you do fix that issue so Yamaha styles will be great?
Thanks,
Lee

agaton

Emulator X3 run on Win 7, 8, 8.1, about Emulator X I don't check.
Yes, Yamahas Styles are only OK with Mega Voices and I have all
in TA Sound Engine. I had make it also in Emulator X3 format. It
is very hard work to make Sound Engine comaptible with all Style
formats, but it is doable. I need only time to make it all.

Dan

Note that it's not in the vArranger policy to include and sell sounds recorded from Ketron Yamaha Korg or Roland synths etc....

Some musicians like agaton have sampled their owned synths for personal use and also original acoustic sounds and get some decent sound.

I will inform you when there is anything that can be shared to everyone.

I personnaly never tested the agaton sounds, so still can't say anything about it

Indeed, it is not allowed to make samples of any hardware or software instrument
and put it to one new !!!
Couse of that in TA Sound Engine will be not sampled pure SD1000 sound, TA Sounds
are only based on SD1000 (what I wrote in first my post) but they are qualitative much,
much better sounds, and they are sorted on SD1000 Bank and Sound Program Table,
to be compatible with all vAranger2 choice of sounds, and controls in its SD1000 Mode.
It will be full legal product like all other from me. Very high quality of this sounds can
be heared on youtube demos, and also that this sounds are another matter from SD1000
sounds. They are only on right Midi place with right implemented Controllers !!! Thats all.

Dan

Good to know it.

Let me know when you are ready for the first tests :)

We all know this law is nonsense.... Where i am allowed to create a sample from a real piano sound.... But not a sample of the sameple someone else took from that piano...

All major hardware keyboard builders borrow sounds from eachother and others, and then they dont dare to name them for what they are..

And my best bet is, taht Agaton is doing the same thing everyone else is doing that tries to create a good soundset...  I am for one looking forward to the first fully software based soundset that can compete with the hardware totl arrangers..

agaton

You maybe don"t trust, but for one serious sound engine is no matter
and full normal to sampled one Stainway or Bösendorfer piano.
I work as sound designer over 30 years, and it is enough time to sample
many, many instruments. First my serious sampled and edited instrument
was one Guerrini President Accordion which I sampled 1985. in 12Bit/32kHz
in multilayer velocity switch technology, with all artefacts of accordion. Whole
this time audio technology was going up in exponential way and today is very,
lite to make excelent samples. I work with very good equipment for sampling,
RME Fireface 802, some very good Tube Mic PreAmps and Compressors, Neumann
Microphones, Finalizer 96k from TC Electronic and a few of the best PlugIns.
It is enough to make perfect samples, but than come the hardest part of work,
the sound editing in adequate format. This is that what realy give character to
sond programs what we hear, not only the samples. Cause of that can Yamaha
in Tyros 5 with only 0,5GB Sampling ROM for all instruments, have a good sound
or also Korg PA3X with same ROM. There are not only samples but also sound
editing what make one sound engine excelent.

Hi Agaton !

Where can I listen to some of your sounds - I,m very interested to compound some of your
sounds in my productions to compare and give you some personal flair and comparison.

much smoke and no fire !!

lee

agaton,
Thanks for sharing your approach and experience in sound design/engine.
I have some knowledge of this and am very happy to have you here working with Dan on vA2.
You have all it takes to make great sounds for vA2..and WOW will that be excellent to have.

Thanks in advance for all the hard work I know it takes to do this.
I did a single piano once for my Korg PA2XPRO and found how really difficult it is do do it right.

We need to all be very patient as agaton is doing a very hard job....even with his experience and tools.

I play mostly slower, musical theatre, love songs, oldies, standards etc and great sounds are critical to sounding good on the performance. I can not sing well, so the sounds of the instruments is everything...AND my inspiration too.

Lee

why not put the youtube link?

Dan had put a few Styles played with vArranger and TA Sound Engine
(in Beta stadium) on vArranger2 Facebook Site:
https://www.facebook.com/vArranger

You can find this demos under:
"vArranger playing styles with SF2 sounds. sampling and demo by Zlatko"

Thanx lee !!!

silviuturcu

congratulations, best sound? when you finish the work this hard I sell to us?

agaton

Thank you very much !!!

Yes, I shall say, but I need time, time, time...
to finalize all sounds. I explained it in one post
in this thread.

semimi

congratulations,  these sounds are very good ; I like the drums especially

mrgentleman

Yes ! Agaton ! Keep it up !

I liked what I heard on Facebook - Take your time and make this something extraordinary when finnished.
There are always obstacles on the road when you want to make a little extra effort and prove something
to others. I know it far too well  :P

Regards Michael

Dan

Michael, what about your good sounds... do you want to keep them for you only, or will you share them one day? If yes, for free, or for money?

I will add the possibility for sound creators to crypt their SF2 sounds, so that they can only work with vArranger, and not find them later mixed in another SF2 collection, in another name

mrgentleman

Hi Dan !
Yes ! I - do - have lot's of sounds - but unfortunately not (all) in SF2 format - and maybe when I got the time in the
future I will convert and work some more with sounds and styles. There are private reasons at this moment that must
take its time - which I would rather not go into here. My initial idea was to make style packages with specific soundfonts - and
share them here on this forum.

But your suggestion and turn of mind was / is very interesting and I considering a future conversation regarding a wider sound
palette for vArranger - let's keep this channel open and let us - first examine what Agaton will eventually be contribute - very
curious about his /  the final result.

Regards Michael
