Can vArranger 2 read Jam Origin Midi Guitar as a midi input source if both are running on the same computer?

Dan

YES !

I have done some test with this software.  It is very interesting.

You need to install the loopmidi software, to connect the Jam Origin Midi out to the vArranger Midi In.
http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/loopmidi.html

You need to activate the "FULL KEYBOARD" button, if you use a guitar.
And maybe play with the ARRANGER THRESOLD in OPTIONS/MASTER too

Let us know what your test are giving.

Thank-you for responding. Could you describe to me the exact, step-by-step procedure you used? I've downloaded loopMIDI and it lauches properly but every time I click on the + to add a port it crashes the entire computer leaving with a blue-screen-of-death. What am I doing wrong?

My stats:
   OS: Windows 8.1 Pro
   Processor:  IntelCore i7-4650U @ 1.7G 2.3G
   System: 64bit OS, x64-based processor
   RAM: 8G
   HD: 500G SSD

Bad news, your computer crashes when you try to add a virtual midi port with midiloop.

You can try to contact the author of midiloop.

I have also read about reverting to previous nvidia graphics drivers

I'm trying to put the two software pieces on a Surface Pro 3 and it has an Intel HD Graphics 5000 display adapter and I'm at a loss for contact information for the loopMIDI author

At this point I'm having success with a program called LoopBe1 found on NERDS.DE. It' recognized by both JamOrigin's MIDIGuitar and by vArranger.

Dan

Contact for loopMidi is info@Tobias-Erichsen.de

I had some problems with LoopBe1 in the past, but if it's working good for you, it is OK.

Can you play vArranger with the guitar?

agaton

No problem with LoopBe30 and with Midi Over LAN. Also no any
probs with Bome's Midi Translator and Jam Origin's MIDI Guitar.
All on Windows 8.1 64 Bit.
