hi Dan great idea support sound fonts
I'd like you to try a bench SF2 I use.
see if I can send it to you.
you can test the new beta version?
with regard Claudio

Dan

Yes, send me your SF2 please.

Thoraldus

I am very interested in vArranger but can not seem to locate a demo download so I can check its suitability. The main web site seems pretty sparse for a $470 product.

Frank L. Rosenthal

Dan, just so you know I use Ableton Live as my host for all things to do with my software based arranger system.

> GM/XG wavetables for vArranger accompaniment (Halion Sonic, Bandstand, etc.).
> High quality instruments for my right hand instruments (kontakt, Garritan, East-West, etc.).
> Vocal Harmonizer (Antares).

So for me adding VST or other instrument capability to vArranger is an unnecessary complication.

Frank

Dan

Thoraldus, there is no demo versions of vArranger.
What do you want to know? I can tell you everything directly.

Frank, you don't need to use the new coming audio features of vArranger.
The goal of the vArranger Synth is to be able to play styles in realtime without any hardware MIDI modules connected.

I will give a simple plug & play access to those powerful features, so any musicians can enter to this new world without having to know complicated things.

The integration with vArranger will be better than any existing products.

SoundFonts support will let any user create his own sound set to go with vArranger.

This will open the possibilities for interested people.

You already have a good working configuration, so don't change anything.

Don't worry, vArranger.exe will still be under 1MB, and the Audio/Synth will be 3MB ! :)

But will there still be a restriction on the size of the soundfonts? As you recall Dan we have discussed this before and you indicated my soundfont library (you know the one to which I refer) at 8gig was too large..
Are you in a position to advise any further changes/enhancements to the SF system you are implementing?

Dennis

Dan

Samples are loaded into the PC memory.
If you have 8GB of RAM in your computer, you can load tons of samples...

pax_eterna

hmmm yes I already knew that ;) and it wasn't that I was referring to. You indicated in the past it would be difficult for an end user to incorporate said SF2 samples into your SF2 player/loader and that you were trying to keep it only to a limited size. Further, you also indicated an end-user could not directly access the SF2 player/loader.

Has this changed?

Dan

Yes !

Now, simply put your SF2 files into a defined folder, and run vArranger.
It will replace my sounds by yours.

pax_eterna

Beautiful! :)

Any chance of getting a beta with this ability please Dan?
