das geht mit jedem MIDI Masterkeyboard, welches Tasten oder Fader oder Drehpotis hat und welches MIDI Controlchange oder Programchange Befehle senden kann.

i use a SD1000 and V3 Sonority together with VA2.
In the future V3 Sound will make a special Sonority that is compatible to the SD1000.

In the moment you must use an INs File, to select Sonority sounds in VA2.

I tested some styles with SD1000 only and then with Sonority only.
Both sounds very good!

V3Sonority has more than this one sax demo in youtube!
And the gm sounds and the organ and accordion expansion soundpacks are very very good!
Theater organs and Hammond or german organ sounds very realistic! I own a Wersi Spectra and use it as Masterkeyboard for VA2. Sine Drawbar Sound from Sonority sounds like Wersi Spectra!
And Sonority has some good Wersi Helios Sounds!

Klaus from V3Sound will build a special edition for VA2 at music fair francfurt in 2018.

In the moment he has one SD1000 rent from me for implementation of the same soundbanks in Sonority!

TouchOsc cannot measure the Push Force  or Velocity on Touchscreen. So you cannot send different  Note On Velocities!

test in the moment is stopped because i am sick!

Add extra memory is possible because of SAM5716 as soundgenerator can have 8GB external sample memory.
In the moment it has 4GB. But in the moment V3SOUND has no plan to add 4GB memory because of hardware costs!

I tested most sounds and it has very very good sounds, most better than SD1000! The only problem is that you have to select sounds with INS-File and with SD1000 it is simpler!

I compared some Songs played with SD1000 and the same song then played with V3SONORITY.
I hear no difference! Many Solosounds like classic orchestra, accordion or hammond and Wersi sounds are better in quality!


But V3SOUND will for music fair frankfurt have a special V3SONORITY compatibel to SD1000!

der SD1000 ist klanglich wesentlich besser (bei Begleitung und Solosounds) als der SD2! Und ich hatte nie irgendwelche Probleme. Ich habe beide gleichzeitig mit verschiedenen Styles und MIDI Files getestet und danach den SD2 wieder verkauft. Momentan benutze ich zusätzlich noch den V3SOUND Sonority mit den Erweiterungssounds 100 Organs und 100 Accordions. Das Teil klingt auch sehr toll.

beeindruckender Arbeitsplatz!
Meiner sieht so ähnlich aus mit einer Wersi Spectra. Vor dem Untermanual habe ich eine Leiste mit Tastern, Potis und Joystick speziell nur für VA2 (selbstgebautes USB MIDI Interface mit LED Feedback). Das Orgelunterteil ist kompletter Eigenbau im Atlantis Stil.

Die Drumsounds der Loops muss der Sonority natürlich auch haben.

Ich denke es wäre einfacher, wenn Dan den Sonority wie den SD1000 integrieren könnte.

die Drumloops sind ja nicht im SD1000 gespeichert sondern externe MIDI Files, welche die Drumsounds im SD1000 ansteuern.
Also sollte das der zum SD1000 kompatible Sonority auch verstehen, aber Genaues kann nur V3Sound sagen.

Dein INS File sieht sehr gut aus!

Sind da alle eingebauten Controller auch  schon getestet?

Ich habe getrennte INS Files für die verschiedenen Sounderweiterungen wie 100 Orgeln usw. Und bis jetzt nur die Klänge ohne Controller getestet!

Hast du den Sonority schon im Test?
Wenn ja wie klingt er für dich?

klanglich sind SD1000 und V3 Sonority einander ebenbürtig. Klang is ja bekanntlich auch teilweise Geschmacksache!
Wenn man den Preis des Sonority (389€) sieht, kann man nur den Sonority empfehlen.

Aber:
Die Integration des SD1000 in VA2 ist momentan noch besser! Man sieht im Kanal und rechts in der Soundliste  den gerade aktiven Sound!

Neues Aber:
Klaus von V3Sound will zur Musikmesse 2018 in Frankfurt den Sonority voll kompatibel zum SD1000 machen.
Dies bedeutet, dass man in VA2 an MIDI OUT1 als Klangerzeuger SD1000 anwählt und dann aber den Sonority anschliesst.
Der Sonority  tut dann so als wäre er ein SD1000. Nur hat er zusätzlich zu den 512 im SD1000 eingebauten Sounds noch seine eigenen Sounds! Dies sind die Erweiterungssounds zu den GM Sounds, Klassisches Orchester, 100 Orgeln, 100 Akkordeons, Keltische Sounds und traditionelle Sounds. Und Klaus von V3Sound plant immer wieder Klangneuheiten.

Bezüglich der INS Datei bin ich noch am Testen und Fehler korrigieren. Wenn du einen Sonority kaufst, bekommst du von Klaus natürlich die INS Files, welche ich erstelle.

In den INS Files kann man nichts zur Anzeige in VA2 regeln!

Man kann aber momentan als Hilfe einen beliebigen neuen Sound des Sonority mit der INS Datei mit Namen anwählen und dann z.b. als Right Sound unter einem beliebigen Namen abspeichern und diesen neuen Sound kann man dann in ,,Mysounds Right" mit der Maus ziehen. Dann sieht man mit Namen, was im Sonority gerade erklingt!

Die Regler FX1,2,3 rechts im Masterfeld wirken beim Sonority nicht. Sind laut Dan nur für VST Effekte soviel ich weiss.
Die beiden Regler in den Kanalfeldern steuern Hall und Chorus.

Der linke Regler steuert immer (egal welcher Effekt darunter angewählt, auch bei "OFF") die Hallintensität.
Der rechte Regler wirkt nur, wenn als Effekt Chorus angewählt ist und steuert dann die Chorusintensität.
Beide Reglerstellungen werden mit dem Speichern eines Sounds mitgespeichert.

Dadurch werden diese Effekte auch beim Umschalten eines Songs(Style) mit geladen oder gespeichert.

Meine INS-Files sind noch in der Testphase mit einigen Fehlern behaftet. Kann ich im Moment nicht rausgeben!
Später gibts die auch von V3Sound.

Mein Testgerät hat die GM Grundsounds plus die Zusatzpakete 100 Accordions, 100 Organs und Celtic Sounds und es ist noch Platz im Speicher.

Zu den EFX Effekten:
V3Sound will zur Musikmesse 2018 in Frankfurt eine zum SD1000 kompatible Sonority Version herausbringen.
Im Moment muss man leider mit SYSEX Strings die Effekte steuern. Aber Dan hat die Arbeit an den Effekten mit Laden und Speichern in den Songs begonnen!

Das SD1000 Usermanual hat Fehler!
Die fehlenden SYSEX zur Steuerung von Hall und Chorus findet man auf der Homepage von Dream bei den Firmware Datasheets.

But i asked Dan to add a function for control SD1000 effect DSP with MIDI CC, for example the rotary slow/fast switch
of the SD1000 EFX DSP.

Sorry to notice you, the Piano Hi-Lite can not be use as a MIDI input for PC software. However, the Piano Hi-Lite does support some 3rd party apps, such as Synthesia.
This app does supports MIDI files and the LED lights will work as well.

problem is not the electronic!

I made my own diy usb powered midi interface, that is built with 3 cascaded boards (each board has its own STM32 microprocessor). Every board can control 10 buttons with led feedback and 4 analog inputs or 14 buttons then without analog inputs.

So i have 34 Buttons with led feedback, 6 analog potentiometer for track colume and a joystick for pitch and modulation. Works very well and i can control during song play the most important functions of VA2 with my left hand (plays chords and controls joystick, start/stop, intro/ending....).

Problem ist to build a small cabinet from metal or wood or 3 d plot. My wood solution with oak plywood was very very hard to build with integrated electronics! and the work was many

I use it on my Wersi Spectra in front of the lower manual for VA2 control.

this is an known effect that i posted some time ago!
If you load a new song, you should ,,Reset All Effect" in the effect menue prior to load.
This resets all effect.

Dan cannot know if he load a song, what effects are active in the SD1000, because we cannot read back the SD1000 content!

If Dan has implemented the new dsp load and store with song or sound this problem is solved!

Klaus from V3 Sound sent me the firmware doku from his Sonority.
Its a special SAM5716 Firmware version for V3Sound from 2017.
Klaus will publish it at his homepage!

But it contents the same error at the distortion with type numbers greater than 2!
I reported this to V3Sound and also last sunday to Ketron!
Now answer from Ketron!

But Dsp Settings in SD1000 effects menue  must then also be saved/loaded in combination with a sound!
Then the sound with related effect setting is save/loaded with a song.

My preferred method is Save/Load Effect settings with Song Save/Load.

practical example:

I play the song  ,,Atlantis" from the shadows.
There i want a sound ,,stopped guitar" with delay effect in my left2 sound. In the moment i load the song with the prior saved sound ,,stopped guitar" on left2 and then i adjust the EFX1 on left2 for delay.

Then i want to save the song with this effect at this sound on left2.

The same result is if i could save the sound with the delay and then save the song.

A separate DSP Save and Load function could also be very good! I could make my own DSP presets and select then with a sound a related own DSP preset!

But what is with not finished implementations of in VA2 integrated functions?
For example my old wish for the effectprocessor of the SD1000!

What is your priority number in your TODO List for implementation of SD1000 effectprocessor ,,save and load efx1,2 settings" with save and load song? This is missing from some SD1000 users in the last years! You have also promised this function some years ago!

Hi,
einer meiner Studenten hat mit der Software ,,CTRLR" letztes Jahr unter Windows 64 Bit ein Panel (GUI mit Bedienelementen für die verschiedenen Effekte des SD1000 ) geschrieben, was den kompletten Effektprozessor des SD1000 einstellbar macht und als Besonderheit diese Einstellungen in eine Datei speichern und auch daraus wieder laden kann. So kann man pro Song die Effekte einstellen, speichern und wieder laden! Dieses Panel kann man auch als VST in VA2 laden!

Problem ist nur, dass man beim Ändern der Effekteinstellungen und Songeinstellungen in VA2 und im CTRLR Panel jeweils einen Speichervorgang ausführen muss!
Gleiches gilt beim Laden eines neuen Songs in VA2. Danach muss man noch die zum Song gespeicherten Effekteinstellungen aus CTRLR laden.

Probleme:

CTRLR als VST in VA2 hat Stabilitätsprobleme gezeigt

2.
den SD1000 muss man dann z.B über USB als MIDI OUT 1 mit VA2 verbinden und mit einem anderen MIDI Interface am echten MIDI Eingang des SD1000 die Effektsteuerbefehle des Effektpanels von CTRLR einspeisen.
Diese doppelte MIDI Einspeisung des SD1000 ist aber von Ketron nicht vorgesehen, hat aber bei meinen Test funktioniert!

Ich habe die Sache aber aus Zeitgründen nicht mehr weiterverfolgt!

Ich werde mal deswegen den Klaus kontaktieren.

Bei Dan ist die Kontaktaufnahme sehr schwierig. Manchmal antwortet er auch auf private Mails nicht.
Ich denke, dass er einfach von den vielen Anwenderwünschen erschlagen wird und sich besonders den Software Klangerzeugern und VST verschrieben hat. Hardware Klangezeuger werden stiefmütterlich behandelt!

Hallo,
das momentane Schaltungskonzept lässt das Nachladen einzelner Samples leider nicht zu! Bei dem Preis des Gerätes ist dies auch nicht möglich! Man muss den gesamten Klanginhalt in der Fabrik auf einmal in den Sample Flash laden.

Wenn aber genügend Interesse besteht, kann der Entwickler gegen Aufpreis einzelne Sounds austauschen oder auch neue Klangbibliotheken wie ja schon 100 Orgeln oder 100 Akkordeons erstellen. Die Akkordeonklänge sind übrigens nach meiner Meinung das Beste, was es momentan auf dem Markt gibt.

Man darf natürlich den Sonority nicht mit einer Wersi OAX vergleichen! Das ist eine andere Preisliga, obwohl der Sonority in vielen Sounds ebenbürtig ist!

mit dem Sax gebe ich dir recht! Ich habe auch den SD1000.

Sound ist ja bekanntlich Geschmackssache. Ich habe eine Wersi Spectra und benutze die aber fast nur noch als Masterkeyboard für VA2.
Dann den SD1000 und nun den Sonority und man hat eine fast perfekte orgel!
Zusätzlich ab und zu ein Soundfont!

ich versuche nun schon fast 2 Jahre, Dan zu überzeugen, dass er das Speichern und Laden der Effektprozessoreinstellungen mit dem Song bei Nutzung eines SD1000 als Klangerzeiger einbaut.

Aber bis jetzt kein Erfolg! Es werden immer nur mehr neue Funktionen in VA2 eingebaut (welche sicherlich für einige Nutzer interessant sind), statt die Grundfunktionen eines Arrangers zu realisieren!

Wenn man einen Song wie mit einem Arrangerkeyboard (PA4x oder Tyros5) spielen, laden und speichern will, dann braucht man einfach auch diverse Effekte wie Distortion, Delay , ....! Und diese Effekte müssen nach dem Laden eines neuen Songs zur Verfügung stehen und nicht umständlich manuell mit dem momentan vorhandenen Effekteinstellfenster mit nicht zu den Effekten passenden Reglern nach dem Laden eines Songs zu justieren!


Ich denke, es ist an der Zeit, dass VA2 diese Funktion dringend nötig hat, um mit einem Arrangerkeyboard konkurieren zu können!

Wie sehen dies die anderen SD1000 Benutzer?

Heute habe ich es mal mit dem MIDI Monitor in VA2 getestet.
Der Fussschweller sendet beim Betätigen Controller 11! Ist auch klar, weil in VA2 die Lautstärkebalken beim Durchtreten des Schwellers
dies anzeigen! Sorry für die falsche Auskunft!

Aber dabei habe ich gemerkt, dass die Spectra sogar einen Pitchbend sendet! Man lernt nie aus!

wenn man mehrere Sounds mit einer Orgeltaste gleichzeitig spielen will, so muss man diese erst mal als "Right Sound" abspeichern.

Beispiel aus meinem Setup mit dem Ketron SD1000:
Ich spiele im OM der Wersi Spectra den selbst zusammengestellten Kombisound "B3 Dist Perc 3rd". Diesen Soundnamen habe ich selbst festgelegt beim Speichern von Right Sound!

Dazu erst mal in "Right1" den Sound "Organ Overdrive" des SD1000 und in "Right2"  den Sound "3 TH Perc" des SD1000 waehlen.

Dann diese Klangkombination mit "Save Right Sound" anklicken und unter "Sound Name" den Namen "B3 Dist Perc 3rd" eingeben und bei "SOUND GROUP" wählen, unter welcher Soundgruppe der neue Kombisound gespeichert werden soll.

Nun den Right-Fader neben dem Masterfader anwählen und dann oben rechts in der eben gespeicherten Soundgruppe den neuen Kombisound "B3 Dist Perc 3rd" auswählen und in das Feld "My Sound 1" für Right mit der Maus ziehen.

Wenn man nun alles mit Save Song speichert, wird beim Laden dieses Songs auch die Einstellung von Right1 und 2 geladen!

ich habe vor einigen Tagen einen Soundvergleich zwischen Ketron SD2 und SD1000 mit diversen Songs in VA2 gemacht.
Der SD1000 klingt viel realistischer in der Begleitung und bei den Solostimmen => wie ein echtes Orchester. Ich wollte den SD2 auch nur wegen der Drawbars zusätzlich zum SD1000 => aber die klingen nicht gut!

in the moment effects control for the SD1000 is not full implemented in VA2!
Dan has promised to integrate it full with save and load with new song!
I hope he can do this very soon!

And the effects menue in VA2 is very unpractical to use!

If you load a new song for example the effects in the SD1000 stay from the previous loaded song!
So before load a new song you must "Reset all effect" in the effect menue and the adjust the effects with the effects menue for the new song!

please go to "effects" "Options" and click on "RESET ALL". That resets all effects.
Then load the new song with the piano and no old effect work on the new loaded sounds!

I get a Ketron SD2 and compared the sound with SD1000 and with the same songs!
There is a great difference! With SD 1000 it sounds like a real orchester! With SD2 some synthetic feeling!

is it possible, that VA2 can in the controllers menue learn some  MIDI Controllers that sending MIDI NRPN Messages?

Reason:
I build a new DIY USB Midi Interface special for VA2 and my Wersi Spectra Organ as Masterkeyboard (or other Organs or keyboards with a normal MIDI Out), that need some pushbuttons and analog controllers (also pitch wheel!) for control some functions of VA2.

It has 4 analog Poti or fader inputs and 10 pushbuttons with led feedback, 2 merged MIDI IN (1 for my Spectra and second for cascading max 6 of this modules or second MIDI In), 1 MIDI OUT for Messages from VA2, 1 MIDI OUT for cascading, last but not least an USB Female B Connector for VA2 on my Windows PC.

6 from this MIDI Interfaces can be cascaded to a group of max 6 pieces.

In the sum so i have 60 MIDI CC from the 60 pushbuttons and 24 from the poti (faders or rotary knobs).

I dont want to send midi CC that are predefined in MIDI so i use only undefined MIDI CC values.
and there are not 80 MIDI CC messages free!

The VB3 has 2 Drawbar sets "A" and "B" . I assigned my Touchosc Fader to the wrong Drawbar 16" drawbar set "A" but had selected in VB3 the drawbar set "B" for view!

i can play my SD1000 inside va2 with my wersi spectra with upper, lower and pedal with MIDI IN 1 as right1, left 1+2 and pedal inside va2! Touchosc controls with MIDI IN 2 the accomp like start/stop, intro1 .. and so!
VB3 works well! But only the VST controls dont work.

i made a fader in Touchosc that sends MIDI cc data to VA2.

If i look into the midi monitor inside VA2, i see the right data!

Now i want to control with this fader a drawbar inside the VST VB3. So i learned inside VA2 this MIDI cc to VST Controller 1. Then i went into the VST parameters from VB3 with the + symbol and if i then click on Drawbar 16" for example and do midi learn i see that then the drawbar value changes with my fader!

But the 16" drawbar graphic in VB3 does not change! And i dont hear any change in volume on Drawbar 16".

I tested the cc data on midi channel 1.

What is wrong?

i made a fader in Touchosc that sends Pitchwheel data to VA2.

If i look into the midi monitor inside VA2, i see the right data!

Now i want to control pitch for Right1. Tested with distored guitar and SD1000.

But nothing happens!

I tested the Pitch data on midi channels 1,12 and 13.

i use VA2 more than 2 years and found more than 50000 free styles from Roland, Korg, Ketron and yamaha (also many title related styles).

I think my priority is first to make VA2 function like a top today keyboard (tyros or korg pa4 or ketron sd9) and therefore we must set priority at save and load effects of the sound generator ( for me Ketron SD1000)!
Without this function VA2 cannot replace a top keyboard!

Dan please finish first this very important function!

OK. Controller "BC 1E 00" Hex switches to default chorus (if this is "OFF", we have no Leslie function). But this is not the same as at an original leslie, where the leslie runs from slow or fast  to zero (or reverse) with transition!

Other question:
How can i use the SD1000 at MIDI OUT 1 (as primary soundgenerator) and the SD2 (or my diy B3 as secondary soundgenerator) at MIDI OUT 2?
If i use this setup, i dont see the Drawbars in VA2 menue!

i tested the MIDI output for the drawbars in the SD2 because i want to control with this drawbars my diy hammond B3 clone like a SD2 at a separate MIDI Output!

All works fine but i cannot stop the Leslie rotor!

If i select the drawbars on for example channel "right1", the drawbar control window is displayed!
If i mouseclick at "SLOW" VA2 sends "BC 1E 40" Hex and a mouseclick at FAST sends "BC 1E 7F" Hex => this is OK.

Is it possible, to implement in VA2 also "Leslie Stop" with a click in the middle of the button SLOW/FAST?

my opinion is an other!
The SD1000 Effectprocessor menue is complete unusable for the practicial use!

It takes too long time, for selecting and adjust a effect if you load a new song!

For example: a rotary knob selects some effecttypes with no effectnames! you dont know what you select!!!!

And the save and reload effect with a song is missing! That is a function that every keyboard today does!

VA2 is only a complete replacement of a typical keyboard, if also the effectsettings are saved and loaded with a song and if the effectprocessor of the soundgenerator (sd1000 and other) is complete supported with a clear menue!

your basspedal must send on midi channel 1 and then connect it to va2 midi input 3. select "play notes" and then it works!

If you have an sd1000 as soundmodul, your lowest pedal (most left) must send a midi tonenumber greater equal 36, because lower notes produce strange sound!

i test my new diy masterkeyboard with va2. It is connected to midi in 1 in va2 and plays in organ mode well!

Now i want to play bass notes with my midi foot basspedal. i connected it to midi in 2 and activated "play notes". if i press a pedal, i can see in va2 midi monitor  the incomming note on/off message. but no sound!

i tested it with midi channel 5 for the pedal!

what is wrong?

i use the Ketron SD1000. For me the best sounds. Very good natural instruments for example Sax, Flute, Organ ...! Drums also very good! All Styles from Yamaha, Ketron, Korg and Roland sound with Varranger 2 very good!

i can download it but only with a dedicated program for example izip. Then i can see this file only in izip!
But in a ipad there is no directory structure like windows, unix or android.
So i cant load a downloaded file in any other software because i dont know where the files is at the ssd memory!

With USB VA2 played a song and at the same time with MIDI IN i controlled the effects with a special program CTRLR (google for CTRLR MIDI and you find it). And on the same PC then you can control VA2 and with CTRLR generated menu also the effects inside SD1000!

How is it connected to your pc (midi or usb)?
How is your pc connected to the SD 1000 (midi or usb)?

You can control the SD1000 with 2 input at the same time. One USB connector and one MIDI connector!
If VA2 controls generated sound with the USB connector then you can send additional MIDI commands at the midi  connector at the SD1000. And these MIDI commands then can control the effects inside SD1000 or also generate tones!

if you have VA2 from your Windows PC connected to the SD1000 with usb, you cannot use pcr300 for control SD1000 effect, because you must send the midi command to the SD1000 effects over the MIDI connector of the SD1000 and the pcr300 has no midi output!

there is no menu!

you must have a keyboard or foot pedal  with programmable Fader, button or rotary knob, that can send several MIDI commands to control the SD1000 midi Input. And you must read the MIDI implementation of the SD1000 inside the user manual.

Most midi command that you must use are NRPN parameters.

Example:
Mastervolume of the SD1000 is controlled with NRPN parameter MSB value 37 Hex and LSB Value 07 Hex.
This values are sent to the SD1000 with 3 MIDI Controlchanges.

MIDI Controler 99 sends the MSB, Controller 98 sends the LSB and Controller 6 sends the Mastervolumevalue.

So you must send
B0H 63H 37H
B0H 62H 07H
B0H 06H 40H
This sets the volume of the SD1000 to value 40H = 64 decimal = 50%

But if your SD1000 ist connected with USB, you have a second MIDI Input at the SD1000!

At this input you can send some MIDI command for change effects!

For example look inside the SD1000 manual. Inside the MIDI implementation you find the MIDI codes to control the effects!

if you load a new song VA2 does nothing with the effect settings inside SD1000.
So it  could be that you hear an effect from a prior loaded song, that played for example at right1 an distored hammond organ. If you then load a new song and play on right1 for example a flute, the flute is distored!

So my tip:
Before load a new song click on "Reset All" in the effect settings. This clears all effects.

Then select the dsp ( we can use 2 effect dsp named DSP1 and DSP2) and track (1-16) for your new effect and then the effecttype.
For example DSP1 should make a Delay for Track Right1. The tracks are numbered from left to right beginning with 1. So Right1 is track number 12!
Then you must click in the upper left raw at "send track to dsp1" at "12-R1".
Now click on "8-Delay" button "On" and if you then play a sound on right1 you can hear the delay. Play with the knobs for delay!

If you want a global reverb for all tracks, turn a little bit at knob "9-output" "reverb send" and adjust the reverb level with this or knob "master" "reverb".

Attached some pictures from the SD1000 Board (approx. 3 years old, there are some modifications made from Ketron!), my new DIY Masterkeyboard (still not finished) and my VA2 control PC with WIN10!
Wood Cabinet in oak, Hard- and software of the Masterkeyboard are DIY from me. Special made for VA2 with 18 faders, joystick with pitch and modulation wheel function, LCD Display for programming, usb Hub for VA2 dongle, included pc midi interface with 5 MIDI in-out, 64 Controlchange buttons with LED Feedback not only inside the buttons. Under each button is the button label printed inside the gray cover (all cover made with 3D printer) with is also backlighted (ws2812B rgb LED string) with midi feedback!

see my example. There i have mulitipush buttons 4 per row with integrated LED for feedback from VA2.
Every button sends a Sysex (this is a trick!) with the CC Info!!!! Then you have LED feedback!

Example:
My upper left button sends "B06C01" if clicked. This are Hex Values! This means "B0" = CC on MIDI Channel 1, "6C" = Controller 6C in HEX = 108 Decimal and "01" says LED ON with this command.

The LED inside this button switches ON/OFF with the CC 108.

i made a change at temp control.
Look at the MIDI Message now! You had no MIDI Message programmed.

I use CC 120 on MIDI channel 1 and reverse value from 127 to 0!
So left turn is slow and right turn is fast!

I selected
RIGHT1 = Violin, Portamento ON and MONOPHONIC ON, Portamentotime = 64 and
RIGHT2 = Flute, Portamento ON and MONOPHONIC ON, Portamentotime = 64.

Then if i play the lowest C on my 5 Octave Keyboard, hold the key and then play the highest C the ton glides to a high frequency and then it chirps!
Sometimes it is also if i play a middle key!

My SD1000 does not hum! The sound is without any hum or noise. The SD1000 goes into an Wersi Spectra as AMP.

Check your ground connection (shield from the shielded cable) to the AMP!

yes, i think a global preset of the effectsection after start VA2 is very good. But if you start VA2, it loads the last played song and if the effectsection is saved with a song you have your global preset.

Yes, the Effectfunctions have a strange behavior! If i make a "Reset all " with the new button, all effects are off. This works. But after this function the reverb does not work, until i click for right 1 on DSP channel 12 on and off and then the reverb is on.

I think we must test all effectfunctions very well and report results to Dan!

Inside the SD1000 works a special audioprocessor. It is the SAM 5716.

The firmware inside the documentation about this Chip has the same functions as the SD1000, because Ketron used this firmware with some minor changes!

i own an SD1000 and didnt had an SD2 before!
It has very very good Sounds.

Some members of this forum reported problems with USB powersupply and polyphony.
In one of all my songs i found also a polyphonie problem. During playing with right1 one sound ends before i released the key! But only with this one song!

If you play with VA2 a song, there is a problem with the settings of the internal effectprocessor.
I described this in an other Thread in this forum!
I am in contact with dan for a solution!

i use the SD1000 with VA2 as my soundgenerator for all songs.
For me there is no need for Soundfonts but this depends from the music genre you play!

The sounds of the styles from yamaha, ketron, korg or roland are very realistic!

And the SD1000 has a very good effectprocessor with some distored sound likes guitars or hammond tube organs with leslie.

Why do i ask this?

In the past i mailed with dan about this topic.
In think this can be a very good feature for VA2.

If i play a song with VA2, the effectprocessor in the SD1000 has its settings from the last played song or effectsettings.
So if you play for example on right1 a flute, then you can hear a distored flute, because the effectprocessor in the SD1000 has this setting from the last song, where you played for example a distored guitar.

So the solution for this problem is to save with the song all effect settings.

Dan has implemented the "Clear all" button at the effect menue! This helps a little bit but is not a final solution!

Please all SD1000 users give your comment to my wish!

Sounds like the real WM24 (over 20 years ago a tested a WM24), but i dont have one WM24 in the Moment to exact compare the sound.

In my opinion the best clone in the moment is the software beatrix on a linux pc.
It is free of charge.
A very good hammond clone is hx3! Hardware  + software. A german product.

i use B4 Vsti not often, because i own a real Hammond C3.
Most time i play varranger with SD1000 => and it has also good drawbar organs!
Or i play with my new epiano ( from ebay Classified Ads for 0€ because of damage => only power supply was defect) Casio PX 130.
Deebach made a good job with new sounds on Fame G2000!

if you say Fame G2000, then take a look to a modified Version of this Keyboard with very good new sounds, but also higher price!

why do you think, that the SD 1000 works with USB Power?
There is no information in the user manual about USB Power! Only that you must connect the power supply!
May be, that some USB ports work, but there is not garantie from ketron!

today i played some songs with VA2 and my SD1000.
With some songs i have the problem, that effect dsp settings from dsp1,2 are not cleared, if i load a new song.
So if i load a new song, all dsp effects from the song before played work and this is very strange.
And if you then look at Options-effects, you dont see the dsp settings! Only click on all on/off buttons erases the effects!
I had for example an accordion sound in the new song and from the old song worked the distortion!
This sounds bad!
In think, it is very important, that VA2 must clear all dsp effects in SD1000, before it select new sounds for new loaded songs.
Please Dan place this wish in your Todo list for the future. I know, that this increases the data that you must send to the SD1000! But this are only short sysex messages, you know.

i found the solution (but not in the VA2 Doku!).

If i click on a track, i see on the upper left side of the Windows the midi channel. This channel must i select inside the VSTI for upper, lower and pedal in the B4 II!

i have a problem with  the NI B4 II VST Plugin (WIN 8.1, 32 Bit) in VA2.

If i load for test some 32-Bit VSTI, all works and i can play it with my upper organ manual (MIDI Ch. 1) in Organ Mode.

But B4 II does not generate any sound. I can open the organ with mouseclick in VA2 - VST button and play with my mouse on the B4 II upper manual (lower and pedal also) in the graphic => i hear the Sound!

Can anyone help me?

what function have the buttons FX1, FX2 and FX3 right over master fader on SD 1000 sounds ?
I found no effect on SD 1000 sounds, if i select some effects with this buttons!

I forgot this internal dsp change with some special sounds ( i think this are the last 8 sounds in the soundlist of the manual, that use this dsp effects).

Perhaps we can replace this sounds with the original sounds without dsp and add then the dsp effect with my complex algorithm?

Do you think, all Sysex for the complete DSP change need to many time?

I will look in the manual for the lengts of all Sysex.
