Thanks for all your hard work !

..Oh and I forgot...

Does this mean we will be able to turn off some parts like the bass, chords (x2), Pad, Phrases (x2) for particular bars as well?

Dan has announced on the FRENCH forum that the next version will be able to import BIAB chord charts...

1. Does this mean that we will be able to push chords 1/8 note...? I would still prefer to be able to put them there myself and have a sequence of 8 chords in one bar.
2. Does this mean that drum fills will be whole bar, half bar or quarter bar...? I would also like three-quarter bar too.

I don't know if this post will be seen or answered - there's not much hope since my previous QUESTIONS remain unanswered...

Je ne sais pas si c'est utile ou pas... mais les accords sont transmis par les claviers Yamaha en SYSEX...

Dan,

Could I please have a reply to this...

QUESTIONS
1. Is it possible to turn off tracks in Song Chords (ie Drums and Bass for 3 bars only then rest of backing) ?
2. Is it possible to have chord changes on 1/8 note beats (ie 8 to the bar A lot of latin has 1, 2.5, 4) ?

and...

3. Is it possible to have drum fills start on beat 2 or 3 and not for the whole bar only ?

Thanks

@Dan,

merci pour ton accueil chaleureux  ;) ;) ;)

@eallan

I'm trying out studiomux http://studiomux.net/ on the iPad to connect the apps to both MIDI and AUDIO outputs which are accessible on my PC. To see the iPad on my PC I used airserver universal https://www.airserver.com/  :)

If it would be helpful I can post a mini HOW TO on this thread... (though it might be somewhat limited as I'm still experimenting and learning)

@slaveofword

I might try TouchOSC and create my own controllers later when I'm more confident about what I'm doing - thanks for the suggestion. But for the meantime I'm using the KORG nanoKONTROL2  :)

Merci Dan,

tu dois m'excuser les tentatives car je n'utilisé que l'écran d'iPad pour jouer les touches et je n'y suis pas habituée.

Pour ceux qui se prennent pour des doués en vArranger2... vraiment desolée pour réinventer la roue !

I have posted on this in the French forum...

QUESTION:
Do most English speakers check the posts in the other forums - it is necessary to post the same message in all forums?

C'est impeccable ce logiciel - je l'adore vraiment !

vArranger2

What have I learned thus far...

1.1 MIDI PORTS:

AUDIO OUT
1.1.1 When using WASAPI audio out you MUST set Advanced Properties to:
1.1.1.1 Allow applications to take exclusive control of the device
1.1.1.2 Give exclusive mode applications priority

MIDI OUT
1.1.2 All mapping is handled by vArranger2 internally by selecting MIDI OUT mode, ie GM, GM2, XG etc there is no need to load separate drum maps.
1.1.3 When using vArranger Software Synthesizer select GM2 mode and new SoundFonts can be used by copying .sf2 to vArrangerData\Sounds\SAMPLES directory
1.1.4 Selection of VST gives access to load up to 16 separate VST virtual instruments.

MIDI IN
1.1.5 When connecting an organ chord selection is based on notes played on lower manual, however when BASS is set to LOWEST Pedal notes are also considered, ie Cm (C, Eb, G) played on lower manual with A on pedal produces Am7(b5)

INITIAL TRIALS 3

3. Swopped vArranger softsynth for XG VSTi (Yamaha)
4. Started experimenting with Voice allocations and parameters

QUESTIONS
1. Is it possible to turn off tracks in Song Chords (ie Drums and Bass for 3 bars only then rest of backing) ?
2. Is it possible to have chord changes on 1/8 note beats (ie 8 to the bar A lot of latin has 1, 2.5, 4) ?

INITIAL TRIALS 2

The story so far...

3. Swopped vArranger softsynth for VSTi

REMARKS
1. Some have requested that VSTi settings are saved with song - but I am using Garritan ARIA Player and this allows all settings and sound allocations to be saved to disk. This can be saved to song folder.

Thanks Dan,

I think you are right in that I was using vArranger Synth on my Desktop for the video - I will create a test midi to use on the laptop and organ with any necessary mapping notified to you.

The vArranger² Software Forum / I'm only a Beginner...

INITIAL TRIALS

The story so far...

1. Installed PDF plug-in
2. Created simple (though quite boring!) arrangements and added chorded backing tracks...

REMARKS:
1. Drum mapping is not accurate - requested access to customisation
2. When using program on touch screen laptop and organ there's no start button on song sheet

SOLUTIONS
1.1 Map midi data via 3rd party as desired - though this may lead to timing issues
1.2 Export as MIDI, edit and play from 3rd party software (Sonar Pro???)
2.1 Add controller switch to initiate playback from organ (left/right foot sysex string???)

Ooh! This sounds very interesting - can we see some pictures of your build / ripped out Yamaha? Please :)

Hi All,

I would like the ability to use my own custom drum map so I'm not tied down to any particular style or tone generator - from what I can see (and I'm new at this so correct me if I'm wrong) the DRUM EDITOR doesn't allow remapping of drum sounds on-the-fly at least I've tried! See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NU-JClWUBQw
