-Yes I have sl61 mk3

-If you think on keyboard it is OK not too hard and not too easy

-Yes I have led feadback but i had to route the messages by Bomes midi translator because mk3 use different number for green and red button colors,
you use 0 and 127 but mk3 use 72 and 64 for this colors and led feadback work only in InControl mod, mk3 has programers manual, where you can see how it can be progammed, if you can't download from their site I can send it to you because you might not be able to download if you don't own the product.

-I wanted to contact you about adding new controls for more fill ins and variations eg. 6 variations and 10 fill ins new ones since vA2 allows it and I already use it on mk3 because I have a lot of control buttons, the only thing missing is led feedback, and I select them with the mouse click command using Bomes midi translator, and it would be nice to be able to do it all directly from the vA2 control window, if possible, I will contact you by email regarding that.

Novation sl61 mk3, very good for playing with vA2, big number of control, led feadback etc...

Yes it's possible, midi file must be in the 0 format not 1, just change extension from .mid in .sty and vA2 read this style without problem,
but the better way is how it is @haweneu said, that midi file insert in CASM editor and create casm of style because without casm you only
can change instruments and volume in vA2, but other important style functions like NTR, high key, low key, RTR and etc...
not work because style don't have casm, without this you don't have full control of your style and style behaves uncontrollably,
this functions only can be written in casm editor and saved in one .sty file together with midi file...

@slaveoword  my app is made to improve touch screen capability of vA2, in my opinion buttons and sliders on vA2 are too small and I was decided to make this app
which will be perfectly compatible with vA2 and easy to use and fix this little flaw, and I think I've succeeded in doing so, app can control many style buttons (intros, fill ins, Mains, endings and many others
functions..., and many sliders, app can minimize both apps or start and close both app in the same time with click only on one button and many other good stuff),

app can be used to control any other software because app send midi data and can work with any app which support midi protocol

I have an idea,

We know that any update for vA2 is free and this is nice for as, but it is not for Dan especially if he have not new buyers,
he have not motivation to do new stuff in vA2 and he must start some new job or some new app which can bring him more money
because vA2 does not make more mony...

My idea is that we make one Topic on forum where we can write our wishes and Dan can write price for that if you can add this in vA2  in a reasonable time,

or we can make a survey and we can vote for wishes which we are put in the survey, but Dan must to tell as does is it possible to do this,
because sometimes it is not possible to put somethings in the app, but however Dan can put price for wishes which can add in app
and we can donate some many for that wishes and he can put report on right side where is wish and we can see how much money has been collected and when money reaches the price it has written he can start work on this that add this wish in the app...

I think that it is fair for Dan and for as....

I don't know that I understand what do you want,

but I use DAW(personus studio one) like VST host for my vst plugins and vst effects and I can control any parameter in VST samplers or effects
by vA2 or Touch OSC, and if I want record song I can do this because I have opened 16 midi tracks in DAW and later I can edit song
on which way what I want...

Yes sound is good, if you make pause between songs, this problem not exist, but if you play songs without stopping(and changing styles) problem is bigger,
bad is too that you must have installed all library(70gb) although I use only a few instruments, and sound is not much better than in Kontakt instruments,
I like Turkish ovation piezo guitar, for me is more realistic than (acoustic guitar for solo playing) in other VST instruments, but all other instruments are good in vst which have't this problem like indepadance,
indepadance is well designed vst with great opportunities, but is too bad that Magix will not develop this product anymore and fix that problem...

My PC is i7 2600k on 3,8 ghz, 16gb ram on 2133mhz and two ssd in raid 0 with 1000mb/s read speed and I put all instruments which I use mostly to read from ram,
but bad noises when change style happens sometimes not always but happens,
because I not use indepadance for live,
I stay on Kontakt 5...

How did you fix problem with bad noises when you change instruments sometimes, I suppose that you use Indepadance for
your style tracks and when you change from first to second style with different instruments in the both styles sometimes it happens
bad noise...

And I agree with that suggestion....

maybe replaying notes in Fill ins and reset CC control (value ) which are the same in two styles when change from first to second,
can put on this "important" list...

vA2 has Songs which is equivalent for registration or performance, and you can Save very much settings(styles, multi sounds and ect....), when you set some style and sound you go on Save- SONG and you have many usefull options for saving in one Song, and number of songs is unlimited...

On which way you load all instruments from library in Kontakt 5, are you load in instruments banks(for all 16 ch.) or on some different way?

vA2 has some basic problems like replaying notes in Fill in's, and reset cc control if are the same in the both styles when change style from first to second(it is important if you using VST like Kontakt 5 or ect...),
it's nice that Dan work on implementation of Technics style format, maybe it is good for some potential buyers, it is good marketing...
but because vA2 very long time, has this basic problems, some old users is considering to sell vA2 and to buy hardware arrangers, this is very bad marketing...

Yes, I understand why You ask that, but my suggestion applies for all sound engines, and if You remember I wrote you about that in the past,
very much vA2 users used Kontakt 5 instruments in a instruments banks for styles used in vA2
it would be good to have at least one mod in vA2 where can be only maybe (reset level and pan) or you can give as two custom controls for ini file,
and I think that this not make your software  unstable (only level and pan)...

Sometimes it is the problem, especially if you use for example Kontakt 5 VST, and if you have two different styles with same level for one track but
different instrument(pcg), vA2 will not reset CC7 control if you change style and second Kontakt 5 instrument will hold old default level
because not receive CC7 control for new style, and it happens that level will be very high or very low...

This "optimization" not exist on any hardware arranger because it is not useful in this case, and can be very bad for style functioning
for that reason(uncontrolled instrument level)...

Every hardware arranger reset all controls for style when player change style from first to second style
it is the "standard" for all hardware arrangers, and it must be for software arrangers too...
and software developer must make optimization for his software on some other place, not for reset controls for style...

Dan can you send me this last version?

For now it is not possible, because in Korg every Song has MSB,LSB and PCG, vA2 Song has not this control (but it would be nice to have this)....

Why is this necessary?

You can save song with all intro's, variation's, ect..., if styler stoped there is no point to do this, no effect on playing...

When will problem with replaying notes in Fill ins come to order for fixing, or this problem will be always without reply???

Yes this is right answer, but you must insert this string in ini file because if you have one sound with same LSB but different PCG vA2 will not reset LSB and
hypersonic will not set right sound, because is important to insert this string in ini file....

little suggestion for Dan, I see this problem in sf2 bank for each style format,
for exsample: if I have one drum set for Roland format with 121.64.8 (msb.lsb.pcg), and than I change style on one style from Korg format which have the same msb.lsb.pcg 121.64.8,
vA2 will not change previous instrument used (renamed) for Roland format because next instrument have the same msb.lsb.pcg,
I know that is rare case but it is possible to happen...

You can use hypersonic sounds outside GM mode, but you must insert this string in ini file in vA2 data folder:

[Custom]
ForceSendBank=1

and vA2 will change sound in hypersonic without problem....

No, hypersonic 2 has many drum set's, but outside GM mode....

Perhaps I did not explain well, but Zlatko and Dan will understood me, we are talking about that in past,
for example if you have one note (strings note) recorded in one bar in Fill in, recorded across all beats to the end of bar,
and when press Fill in on half bar styler not reproduces note because start note (note on) is before pressing Fill in...

Sound modul: sd1000 or Roland Integra 7...
VST: Kontakt 5 is the most famous and for Kontakt you have very much tutorials on Youtube for example, you feel free to ask if you have any problem with Kontakt 5....

Retriggering note length in Fill in is Basic function in all hardware arrangers, it is not  personal idea any of us ...

I must to tell my opinion, vA2 works in 98% very well with all functions which has, and possibilities are bigger than hardware arrangers, but in this 2% I must sugest
couple things which I wrote Dan in past but this stuff not fixed yet, Dan should fix retriggering note length in Fill-ins in all tracks (except drum and perc tracks),
because sometimes we have uncomfortable cutting when we press Fill in, Dan knows for this problem and he have I think too hardware arrangers and he can see how this
works on hardware arrangers,
and second smaller problem (they maybe not problem) it will be good that in SONG we can save SYNC START and STOP, and HOLD and LEFT state,

all other stuff works 100% steadily....

Ok, I did not know this...

I try to save in Song ON/OFF for left 1, but when I save Off in vA2, vA2 return on (ON), I fix this whit Save left hand voices but it is not right solution.

Yes now Korg styles work the same like on Korg arrangers.

I use Cubase 4 (but you can use any other, Reaper or ect...) for making midi file, and Casm Editor for making and editing Casm data, and XG works for latter midi editing....

I'm working on Win 8.1 pro, and yes this is touch sreen 22", on this machine I use my styles which I made. this styles are in yamaha format because
you can find programs for making and full editing for free, and my opinion is that this style format work the best on vA2 better than other formats
in this format you can have 6 Fill in-s, different time signature for all style parts and different tempo for each part, this is everything what I need....

My Live setup....

22" or higer will be very good for you, I work with too touch screen (22" & 23") and I very satisfied with size buttons.

I know where you can buy very much Tyros 2 instruments for Kontakt 5 which is maped the same as on Tyros, it is not very expensive only 62$ but it's very good sound quality 24bit, there is very much Super articulation voices and Mega Voices from Tyros 2, if Dan allow I can put link here, I tested and work very good with vArranger but I had reroute because Dan make routing velocity and notes for msb008 and lsb000 where is place for Mega voices in all Mods (xg, gm etc...).

It is very nice, something like on hardware arrangers.

When You send as this version with left hold?

Yes ,these samples are from the acoustic drum, but I took this samples from one set for Korg PA2X from PCM folder, and I make Kontakt 5 instruments same like instruments in Korg PA,
and this drum track is midi loop who played a real drummer with (Roland TD12), and so the recorded track is inserted in style without quantization.

I think that Dan can unblock Rx and Mega Voices very easy, but he does not want, and I think that would work very good,

I have some Korg PA2x styles where Rx noises used only for Bass slide tones on 1-33 velocity switching zone, and for me is very easy that make Kontakt 5 instruments with Bass slide on 1-33 zone and 34-127 normal Bass sound, I send Dan e-mail with some questions and answers about this topic and I wait answer, for me it isn't important that factory sound and styles work good with Rx noises because I mostly work with my custom
styles and instruments, because I wrote you that You can make this unblocking like option in OPTIONS-MIDI PORTS... like XG or GM or Ketron SD2 which would only be unblocked Rx and Mega Voices, and You can hold blocking for other standards (XG,GM, etc...), it would solve problems for us who would like to have Rx noises and MV unblocked.
