Hi Dan,
what is the price for your soundbanks?

Hi I wanted to know if there is way to select voices with UP or DOWN controller associated to a foot pedal.
What I mean is if I have 10 selected right voices and 10 selected left voices, when I press the UP button once it will go to the next voice in sequence of my 10 sounds and if I press the  DOWN button it will go back to the previous sound. this without changing the variation but only the voice.

Hi Dan,
it is about a year now that i'm trying to evaluate your software.
It is very hard to evaluate it without a demo or a full version.
I have compared it with other software like OMB and Live-Styler, Real-time style.
And compared to those one I can say that varranger it is the best one.

But i'm still debating on buying it.
the reason is does it really plays any yamaha styles or roland styles or Ketron styles with the exact same voices.
What i mean is lets say that I play a style from Yamaha Tyros 4 like Bigbandfast1.
Does varranger uploads the exact same sounds that the tyros uses for that style when we load the style?
Or do we need to twik it to select the same sounds for each acc1 to 5 and for bass percussions and drums?
Please let me know. I had another question in the blog about harmony voices but I never got an answer.
I'm really considering buying varranger but I need some questions to be answered.

Is there a harmony button for the voices.
If yes is there a demo video.
Or can someone make a video showing that feature.

Thanks

Hi Dan,

So you say to have less buttons the better.
one button for intros and one for endings that rotates, meaning that first you press the intro button plays intro 1 second time you press that same button plays intro 2 and so on.
Isn't that a problem? let's say you want to start with intro 3. you need to press 3 times that same button but as soon as you press it once intro one will start to play immediately, see what I mean. I don't know if there is a way to avoid that.

Plus yo said that you also create hardware modules for pedals.
Where can I see this hardware?
do you have pictures, samples?

Hi all, can we re-open this discussion about foot control to control varranger, intros, endings, variations and fill ins.
To all interested I have a question!

Has we now in varranger we could have up to 4 intros, 4 endings, 4 variations and 4 fill-ins per style depending if it is a Roland style or yamaha style or Ketron style.
in all there is 16 buttons to control.

So my question is: What would be your ideal foot switch?
one with 16 buttons that controls each individual buttons?
Or one with 4 buttons to control let's say the 4 variations plus an extra button to change the page of those buttons so now they can control the 4 endings.
So in others words that extra button is to select if you want to use the buttons has intros, endings , variations or fill-ins.
I have attached a file with a design of a foot pedal box.
The buttons are in a step design so the foot doesn't interfere with other buttons if the buttons were all in one level.
If that is not a good configuration what of the following configuration would be ideal.

All 16 buttons in one line?
Ex: .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .
Or in keyboard like style
Ex: .    .    .   .    .    .    .    .
        .    .   .    .    .    .    .    .

Or any other idea's configuration.
Plus do you think that other buttons should be there like vriff or auto or start stop or any anything else

I have in mind to design a foot controller dedicated for the varranger.
So if you guys have any input or any ideas or how do you want this box to be built. let me know!

Another way I see is to play midi files and play left and right hand with the midifile.
is this commonly done live to play midi files and play the melody with right hand and chord with left hand by muting
those tracks.
Or is it better to use the styles and have more control of the keyboard in live performance.

What do you guys use? how does the public responds to listen to midifiles?

ok but I don't want to enter the chords in the song chords.
I just want to enter the variation and the fill ins in the measures where they supposed to be without me
pushing a button. I see in the manual that in song chords you need to enter the chords.

I don't know if you get what I mean.

Another question .
is there a way to record the intro ending and fill ins so they would automatically play during my sequence without pressing the buttons.
And is there a way to record sound change during the performance without me pressing the new sound on the screen?

can it be done with midi events and still be able to have control of the chords and all other settings?

Solution could be for example:
loopMIDI + SAVIHost + MidRadioPlayer VSTi  + ASIO4ALL

you said to use this setup.

how do I connect all this to see if I can eliminate the latency.

Well before I buy I want to test it.
I bought a lot of software and hardware in the past that sound it like crap
and lost a lot of time and money.

There has to be a demo or a beta version that I can try.

How much is the latest version? What version is it? what are the specs?

Thanks

Hi.

I have a demo version v1.16.
I use a laptop with windows 8.1
I have a Roland midi um-one controller
I have a technic kn800 midi keyboard.

After selecting midi ports um-one in outputs,
I get the sounds playing but the latency is very bad.
is there a way in version 1.16 to adjust the latency or is there a way to select the asio driver
in version 1.16

can I get a copy of the demo 1.18

thanks
Pat
