Hi VA2 group. Lee here..... hope you are all having fun with VA2...it is a super product and I enjoyed it a lot when I had it. it has been a while since I checked in here. I have decided to sell my Ketron SD-1000. It has been used very little back when I had VA2. I also have a great sound card module the Sony Sound blaster X-fi surround 5.1, it worked very nice with VA2.
Any interest in SD-1000, Soundblaster or both??
I thought I would give you guys a first chance, then on to e-bay.

Hi guys,
So, I am working on a song Memory (Andrew Lloyde Webber)
I set everything up the way I want, then I do a SAVE SONG with all checks on (Save All)
When I bring up that song...the LH & RH sounds are not correct.

Am I doing something wrong here??
Or is there a bug?

Dan (anyone) I have noticed a problem.
In have S750 styles selected. 60's vintage rock
style section C selected....just hiy a chord and let it play.

After 4 measures, when it goes to the 5th measure (anytime the light bar in the main screen repeats after the 4th bar) the sound(play of the style)  hesitates a little...throwing the timing slightly off.

It does the same on other styles so it is not related to the style....it seems when the style playing engine returns to the 1st bar of a new set of 4 is when it happens.

Can you see this too?? Or is it just my system?

My setup does not sound the same/as good as his SD-2 demos.

I have the MIDI out to SD-1000 and I have tried both GM-2 and SD-1000 as the detail for the sound

I love the demos but I can't seem to get the same quality.
Do you convert all style sounds to GM? Or based on sound module....convert to other sounds?

Since I (maybe others) am not a PRO and when I had a Korg or Yamaha it had a nice RH harmony feature in it....it sure would be great to have that on vA2.
The feature is well documented in Yamaha manuals.....so it would not require too much research.

Dan, or anyone.
I have decoded for now I can't afford a new PC.
So I have vA2 running on a Petium 4 2GB, XP machine.
When I select options....no Sound card choice comes up on the right of the options panel to choose.
Any ideas how to get the sound card to work?

Hi,
So I got a new SD-1000 today. I hook it all up.
No power light!
I push on the power switch...power light goes on, I let go of switch power light goes off.

Seems they put a defective or wrong type switch in this SD-1000???

How should it work?

OK, let's say I load a few Yamaha styles....and I select one to play.
Do I have the OTS settings for 4 sounds? OR STS like on Korg?
Do they change with the style section (intro, A,B, C, D,) ?

Next question,
Do I have 8 or more performances I can program, like on a PSR S-950 or Tyros?

I read the manual, but all that is not clear to me.

I guess my question really is..do I have to set everything up myself when it comes to musical content?

I am used to how Yamaha and Korg does all this.

Does vA2 use the styles sound settings for RH or do you have to do all that yourself?

A Tutorial in English would be most helpful...I watched this one...but didn't get much from it

I am considering vArranger2.
How do you assign various MIDI messages from controllers like switches, pedals ect to vArrabgers functions like intro 1,2,3 etc??
I don't see the detail in the English manual.
