Hi all,

I started V2 again for a change and it got stuck while getting to the step of loading VST instruments 64 Bit (as the program mentions).
Before that I picked the Midi ins and outs and it started loading "stuff" (I saw Asio drivers mentioned). When it came to

Loading.
VST3 Insruments 64 Bit

It sort of froze. While I gave V2 time to load all plugins of which there are plenty it did not seem to come to a natural end. The program behaves very stubborn in this state an does not allow for tast switching in the operating system. Even the tasks manager does not manage to get in front to kill the task of vArranger2. Annoying.

I think I have the most current 1.16 version that was available.

How could a trouble shoot might look like under these circumstances?

Hi all,

it seems to me, that there are very few explaining or tutorial videos out there which I hugely miss. Not everyone is very adept in using the software like a pro just by trying things out or reading the manual an try to transfer that to his own workflow.

I learn by seeing and repeating (as do a lot of people). Therefore I always cherish the vidio tuts of software products. Unfortunatelly for VA I cannot find many resources on the net.

Wouldn´t it be helpful, if there would be more content created in this direction. In fact, I hold it for a purchasing criteria, if a software is well documented in a way with video tutorials to reproduce the handling and workflow experience.

Or am I missing a vast pool of tutorial videos someplace???

Hi all,

I encountered another issue now while playing along in styles. vArranger2 is switching sounds while I play already from my second measure. This happend with all styles I played from the standard style list (last was from SWING section style Swing 1). I wonder if my installation could go corrupt somehow. This is surely not normal and I guess this is an individual problem.

Please suggest a remedy.

PS: Running vArranger2 V 1.20.02 with vArranger Sftware Synth

I am on holiday and find time to play a little with vArranger2 V. 1.2002.

This is not a version specific issue though.
When playing a style there are some weired sounds played in the percussion track. I tried to find out, who I can track down the culprit by right clicking the percussion track and entering drum mixer. I set each instrument there to level zero while the style was playing and the weired sound never stopped playing.
As I think this is a common problem, I hope you have a simple way to solve this puzzle for me.


I am using the build in varranger synth on GM or GM2 mode (makes no difference) with my Presonus Studio24c as audio output.


The style I was using from the Pop area is called "ENGL". I think this is from the standard installation.

I got a second hand windows tablet and want to install V2 there.
Is there anything to consider?
Can I download the version I have some place? This year I got the 1.20 version of the product - not sure if it was an upgrade installation or not.

Hi all

I would like to have a solution to simply put VArranger2 on a bandstand in front of my keyboard or midi accordion and play along with the styles while using touch for interface interaction.

With which solutions do you others work for this purpose, Surface Pro, ThinkPad Yoga, others? How much power and RAM of a maschine is enough in this setup?

Please share your experiences.

Hallo Zusammen,

ich habe das Problem, dass die Akkorde in der linken Hand meines kleine 49 Tasten Keyboards bis zu 2/3 für die Akkorderkennung genutzt wird. Diese Harmonie Range würde ich gerne verkleinern - Wo?

Auch klingt das Instrument unter "RIGHT1" bis zum tiefsten Ton des Keyboards - auch wenig nützlich, da die Känge nicht mehr in jedem Instument dargestellt werden können. Außerdem soll die Harmonie Range nicht selbst noch mitklingen.

Was muss ich tun?

Hi Dan,

I was playing around with different voices putting one asian flute to RIGHT2. The to my perception strange things happened I am not able to revers it. The tones of the keyboard became somewhat limited (possibly because of intelligence and the system knowing the flute is playing in some sort of pentatonic key range). Also the accord detection seemed to have shifted and for example second inversion of F major is interpreted as a minor and other weired things.

I hope for an easy fix for this as a restart of the program did not fix it.

Second question. If I drag a second right had voice to RIGHT2 for example, I did not find an intuitive way to get it out of the channel RIGHT leaving me only to set it to of on the channel. There must be a better way - is it not?

Hi Dan,

after playing around with VArranger the other day with Ketron SD1000 connected, it stopped launching yesterday.
What´s happening after I run it?
Screen is getting black,
I see the text
"Loading
Song list"
and then the loading of the program stops to what I can see.
Also VArranger has no process in task manager after this.

I tryed to rerun the installer exe. But that also did not deliver success.

What can I do?

Hello all,

this is probably a very newbee question.

When I play with the keyboard attached, the left had shall not sound with voice 1 and 2 but only chord detection shall be read by vArranger. Sounds shall only play above a splitt point for melody/soloing.

I played with the faders, the either sound or all is muted.

What is the trick to achive this?

Hello all,

anyone that who connected a Ketron SD90 a the sound source (output)?
I tried each midi in ports of the SD90, but its not reacting to the input it receives.
It didn´t work on midi in 1(GM) or midi in2 (Keyboard).
Seems it is not picking up the midi input.

In the playmodes I chose as input Master Keyboard. In the midi settings I tried different from Standard to Keyboard right voice, Keyboard & styles, Computer & Sequencer - nothing.

Can the midi input from vArranger produce all the styles voices on right side and accompanying side overall? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Newbies have a lot of riddels to solve..... ;-) But I am looking forward to take advantage of all the styles that are offered in the restricted user area - when I get them to sould like expected.


Anyone who knows my problem and can advice?

Hello all,

maybe the more settled VA2 users can help me out with this issue.

I am using the VA2 as an accordionist with a midi accordion. Accompanyment works in principle fine. Chords are detected correctly and backing tracks start playing as I start playing.
My setup involved the midi accordiong soundmodule - I leave this from the midi out to my midi Ketron SD1000 midi in port, from there (via midi thru) to my midi interface Presonus Studion24c which is connected to my laptop.

When I pick styles for example from Tyros 2 my accordion is normaly sounding some sort of default sound which I don´t like and don´t unterstand, where to change that.

And although no OTS is activated in the beginning when a style is picked. While I picked an OTS style the sound volumes always change to something little balanced - why is that? The style display also does not switch the sounds/instruments while switching the OTS variations. And why is there no synchronization between switching OTS variations and the variations on the bottom of VA2. Can that be activated somehow?
Running through the OTS variations mostly in variation3 and 4 there is huge amount of reverb in the sound that is overflooding the whole music - is this normal? Is there a simple, general fix for this?

And one more - some instruments that are sounding are very low in volume despite the volume level is on maximun in the program. The only way to level it up runs for some reason over the chorus dial. That increases the volume than to a decernable level. What to do here?

And now the very last one for the moment. I was not able to create music without the midi interface Studio24C from Presonus only using the SD1000 connected to my computer. I needed to enter a auido out device and SD1000 was not listed. An with only a generic Asio driver selected my accordion chords where not detected from VA2 - only after looping the signal via SD1000 Thru port to the Studio24C that was connected to my laptop and referenced in the audio out port in the Midi/#Audio Setup.
Any ideas if this setup could be streamlined?!

Is vArranger despite the long outstanding update still a good buy for the high initial cost? What you think? Is it still functioning with modern keyboards? I own a GENOS.
