Why not asking on the official Yamaha forum what they think about Korg keyboards....  ???

Just now there is some threads about PA5X at PSR Tutorial. Not very popular among the most hardcore Yammie users, but  ....  ;D
As usual when new stuff arrive, there is some discussion whatever brand at most of the fora ...  8)
It usually calm down relatively quick and things get back to normal.  :)

.... Do you need a sound module like the SD1000 for vArranger2 to work properly?

Hi.
No, it is not an absolute requirement, vArr comes with an audio package and it is possible to buy additional packages that play reasonable well directly from the PC.
That said, I think the sound quality from a module or other external midi-connected source gives the best results.

Well, 3X paid € 50 and received 1 update, I don't think that's normal at all

I can agree that the 'annual fee' solution is not among the best or preferred, and it makes people expect major updates on an annual basis. Minor adjustments and urgent bugfixes should always be free.
When major changes and new addons is ready to release, it would bo OK to pay a 'one time fee'. Then you will know if the updates is something for your needs before deside to buy the new version.

Anyway, Merry X-mas to everybody! 🎄🎶🎄🎶

But it has become quiet as far as the update is concerned. Slowly I have the feeling that some already have an update, and have to be quiet, so only a few complain.

I think that is not quite true, but reading the forum, we know Dan have some 'betatesters' now and then to help try out things. That's very normal.
It's not unusual the the T T T rule get active when things get tricky, Things Take Time. 🎶🍷🎶

All test wishes for the X-mas and that we get a far better year 2021 than we got in 2020.

And just to clarrify gunnar's comments - I am not saying disable save/load (as that can be hacked and re-enabled) - I am suggesting removing all related code completely from the demo version.

Sorry for my poor expresion and bad english language..... 😳
Disable can of course be remove, and that's what I ment to say.

Every one will want to test something else in vArranger, and the limited demo will not really change anything

A limited demo would sure give a feeling about how it works in realtime.
Tousands YT videos may give a picture, but when 'handle the wheel' in person, it give much more info to deside if buy or not.
I'm aware of the danger of piracy, but if all the save functions disabled and limited to load a few styles and and be able to liveplay or steprecorded would certainly be a good advert for the software.
At least I think so..... 😊

Tnx for the info Dan.
Nostalgic reasons for my question I guess.
I have a big collection of Tech styles all way up from KN800 collected over many years, but not any Tech keyboard anymore.
To play those styles 'as is' will be another reason for me to add vArranger.  :)

Dan, I can see you've released a big update v1.9. Congrats!
Question:
Will vArranger be developed and able to read and play Technics styles? If yes, any time scedual for it?

One more question - you don't have a mailing list? I notice many threads with people asking for the latest updates. Isn't this automated somehow or do you email all owners when you issue an update?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi.

This is something that I've noticed as well, all the posts asking for the updated version, and when I buy vArranger I would like to have the updates automaticly rather than ask for it every time a new version are ready.

I've bought a Akai MPK Pro 61 to use with vArranger when I buy it, and hopefully it will work well. But, first it's time to take our motorhome out for the summer holidays travel. :)

Mike, are you using KN7k to run vArr. or a controller keyboard?
