Title: 2500 Karaoke Songs
Post by: Gerard on February 19, 2012, 04:20:33 PM
(Reserved for vArranger users)

I found these on my computer.
There are about 2500 Karaoke songs and are in song title sort order.
Don't know how good these are as I do not use KAR files.

I have to disagree.
.mid and .kar are not the same.    .mid and .kar use different ways to encode the text.  Yes, you can simply change the extension from .kar to .mid and it will play but it does not convert a .kar file to a .mid file.  to change the encoding of the text one must use a program to convert the file. GNMIDI is a shareware program that has this function.

There is many way of writing lyrics in midifiles. Kar files are exactly like midifiles with the lyrics written in a defined way.
In vArranger, you can load KAR or MID files exactly the same way.
