Title: vArranger and Tyros 4
Post by: Deane on August 23, 2011, 05:40:32 PM
Dan,
I thought I would try vAranger with my Tyros 4.  Exactly what connections are
needed to make it work?

By the way, NONE of my dealers can sell me a SD2 unit for at least the next 4 weeks.  It seems that Ketron just doesn't ship anything after August 1st and doesn't supply their dealers with product to cover the time they close in August.  No only that, but the dealers I do business with are seriously thinking about dropping the Ketron line because of this sort of nonsense.

Buy from Thomann Germany 3 years guarantee 3 days shipping to UK.
Closed for the month of August in France has been the tradition since the war.
Not sure about shipping to Australia.

Connections same but instead of putting your midi interface from vArranger into the SD2 you put in into the Tyros GN INPUT.
You may need to reset the Tyros GM MIdi recieve to recieve vArranger channels 1-16 but they may already have the default setting for that?

Just plug the USB cable from Tyros 4 to the PC

On vArranger, MIDI PORTS, select your TYROS MIDI IN and TYROS MIDI OUT with XG MODE

But I suggest you to wait for the new SD2 :)
